There's just not enough room!!

I measured Belly's room, her bed, the crib, the dresser, her current homemade dresser (lol), and her kitchen setup and there is just not enough room! For starters there is nowhere at all for the actual real dresser we were hoping to put in, not unless we want to put it next to the crib - which we will not do. And with the crib in the place of her current dresser there is nowhere for it to go either, not unless we take off 1/2 of it and move it on the same side as her bed. But that leaves us with just 3 tiny drawers and a cubby. I mean her room is TINY, it's only 9x11 (well 13 if you measure the wall that the door cubby is on). I'm pretty nervous putting her kitchen on the same wall as the crib, but it's going to be one of her big presents, and we don't want to have her feel like she's losing her room.
Any ideas on space? She has a deep closet, but it's only 2 feet wide. We've got to figure out another place for clothes, especially since we don't really hang clothes up since Belly likes to be able to get her own clothes.

Here's the basic layout we'll have to do.

What about putting her dresser in the closet? Or even just buying some of those stackable rubbermaid drawers to put in there? Those rubbermaid drawers should fit under the crib, too ... Or you could just put some fabric bins under there if you want it to look cuter...

Fabulous ideas, Karah! We had 3 kids in one room for 3 years. Poor Lucas slept on a bouldering pad that we'd fold up and put away in the morning.

I had four kids sharing one bedroom for 5 years - you can do it! ;)
:lol Growing up me and my three siblings all shared a room too, though it was quite a bit bigger than this one, and once we got big enough for a lot of junk we were big enough to be stuffed in 2 sets of bunk beds.

I thought about that. It's what my younger sister did in her room to make room for her desk, and she made her closet space up to look so freaking cute, but our dresser is just too wide. It's like 6 inches wider than the closet. I was thinking of building shelves and putting in baskets, I'm just afraid of the mess it could cause. lol

yep i would definitely find a way to utilize the closet space and the under-bed storage space. if your current dresser doesn't fit, maybe the shelves or storage bins like the girls recommended would work. i think you'll just have to get creative with how you use your space. start with what you know HAS to be there (ie the bed and the crib) and work out the rest from there.

good luck!!
