I've not yet read the books and like Rebecca have only recently seen the first movie...which I'm sure I didn't appreciate like I would if I was invested in the story of the books. Instead I felt really "meh" about it and perfectly ok with not ever having read the books, lol. Good to know they get better!

this exactly. like i said, i DO intent to someday read these books and give them a fair chance. i will NOT judge the whole series off of one lame-ish movie.
and crystal, i totally agree... that girl... i just struggle to imagine she is in the center of this love triangle thing they seem to have going. i don't get it. lol

We are doing a girls Twilight fest and watching all of the movies before we go.
I am a little obsessive.
 
The books are definitely WAY better. Even the first book has a few scenes that were my favorites that the movie left out...like the blood test scene! I loved that!
 
I agree... there are no words to how good the books are.
Stephanie Meyer is just so descriptive with everything.

Crystal, I missed that too....
or how 'bout Bella cooking for Charlie?
It was such a big part in the book... I missed that.

We enjoyed the movie. I think they did as well as they did with any of the other movies. But nothing compares to the books. They made Kristen Stewart look pretty bad...Alot of people did not know about the scene after the credits and left....

Now Kristen Stewart as Snow White. I am not getting that at all. Even with this whole Snow White as more of a fighter thing. Even Kenzie said, "Mom isn't Snow White supposed to be happier than Kristen Stewart always looks?" Lilly Collins seems a much better choice in the competing movie Mirror, Mirror. But Mirror, Mirror looks much campier. Snow White and the Huntsman is much rougher.

I don't get the snow white thing either....but seriously I am not a fan of hers! I agree with your daughter too. LOL! She just can't ever look happy! I think Lily collins will be a good snow white. She has the look i think!
 
ok I just got back a bit ago and I loved it! It was really well done...the hard parts were I thought. Kristen stewart looked soooo gross! I hope that it was a lot of computer editing and she didn't really look like that. EEEEK!
 
i don't get to go until the week after thanksgiving (arghh!) but i'm so excited ... i don't love the movies nearly as much as the books, but i still enjoy them - a lot :)

A lot of that was CGI Crystal..thankfully! She looked horrible :( that birth scene...wow...hard to watch. I was happy with the movie it's been the best of them all for sure! I was even on Team Jacob for about 5 mintues :giggle

totally agree!!! loved it! and ya wow did they do a good job on bella!
 
I was on team jacob for like 5 seconds. hahah! he is very endearing I think at moments. And sooo glad that was a lot of CGI cause it was AWFUL! The birth scene was crazy! It was definitely hard to watch!
 
But considering how much worse the birth scene could have been, I think they did a good job with it. The baby was so precious too. Loved the imprinting scene.
 
OK! I´ve just backed at home from cinema. But...I didn´t see it. We didn´t hear sound. Only music. Terrible. We waited 2 hours If they fix it but without succes. So... We have tickets at tomorrow and I hope we see it.:cry
 
I watched it Friday night and it didn't disappoint at all!!! LOVED IT!!! Hana I would be going nuts! Hopefully you get to see it! This really isn't a spoiler as everyone knows at some point Jacob takes his shirt off...well when that part happened some 70+ YO woman behind us screamed, "I LOVE JACOB!!!" LOL! Everyone was rolling!!! It was so funny!!!
 
*sigh* by far my fave movie of the 4 so far. which is funny, because this was my least fave book. i made dh go with me and he hated it LOL
 
I can't wait to see it! I'm going to try to go before we go out of town Thursday morning. I'm rereading the book right now. teehehe. I was going to reread the whole series but time is not on my side.

I was really upset to see they didn't bring that over in the movies, I love Billy he plays an awesome Charlie, wished they could have shown the bond Charlie and Bella had and not just Bella being gone all the time and not caring about her dad kwim?
I'm hoping to get my mil to babysit this weekend so I can see Breaking Dawn with my Hubby :) He's not too thrilled with the movie choice but will go with me lol.
