This is so true and so eloquent. You know I woke up this morning to my alarm on my iphone, the same phone my kids play apps on in the car on the way to preschool, and the one I use to talk to Laura on almost everyday. I got home grabbed my ipod and that's what keeps me running 5 days out of the week and now I sit here and type this on a Mac which is where I work and create and where so many wonderful friendships have been formed. All of these things that shape our everyday life came from one man. He will be missed.

So yeah. This made me cry. I was just reading that his funeral is being protested. Ugh.
 
What? Who and why would they protest his funeral?
 
It's amazing what a passing like this does to you. When Steve Jobs was alive do you think he ever occupied my thoughts? Heck no! But now that he's no longer with us there's an outpouring of sympathy and grief. I myself as well was saddened by the news and it's such a shame. I'm hoping that the company he co-founded will continue to make him proud

this is so disheartening. one family groups together, puts the label 'church' on their organization, and causes an uproar. perhaps they didn't agree with how steve jobs used his platform. but what they're doing isn't giving God any more glory than what they're protesting, in my own humble (and saddened) opinion. to represent a religion based on love, mercy, forgiveness, and grace, their actions are the polar opposite. it makes me sad.
 
Exactly -totally agree from a spiritual and religious standpoint.

From a completely different perspective, I think it's just downright rude and in bad taste. Let the man rest in peace, let his family mourn...I can't think of a more inappropriate venue for a protest. They're just publicity hounds. Ugh.
 
Ick! That makes me sick. What could they possibly hope to accomplish at this mans funeral other than publicity and making themselves look despicable?
