Happy Monday Everyone!!!! What's up this week?

I am in full on Halloween decorating mode (my neighbor and I cover the front of our 2 houses, sidewalks, etc with cobwebs..all the kids wait for it every year, it makes the walk to the bus fun) and have about a million and 5 other little things to do. It looks like we may be making a big move come December, which I am still trying to process, so we have to get our house ready to get on the market. I have such mixed feeling about this, it's not even funny.....sigh.

The weather has cooled off a little bit so that's been really nice! I hope you all have a wonderful week!

I'm going to CrossFit today (after taking September off for the marathon), so if you don't hear back from me, I'm dead.

Other than that, it's cleaning day. :whoopdedoo

i'm just doing a little cleaning this am, then having a playmate w/ three 5 year-olds here late afternoon ... i need to come up with a fun activity for them LOL - b/c otherwise they will just fight over barbies and dress-up dresses ...

i also want to start pulling out the halloween decorations! fun!

today we get our hardwood floors replaced!!!! it's been about a month & a half that there has been a big gaping hole in the hardwood where you can see nothing but subfloor. i am SO ready to have my kitchen looking normal again!

besides that, i need a grocery trip for some basics. i have a chiropractor appointment. and i want to work on rearranging furniture (still not all the way settled in from the move, and i'm trying to get things to fit in a functional AND pretty way... seems to be quite the challenge without spending money for new stuff).

Oh Kelly can i come live with you they dont really do exciting things here in the uk for halloween, and my son loves halloween for some reason

Well this day has finally arrived and i didn't want it too :(
I have to return to work today after 10.5 months off for maternity and to put it mildly im crapping myself lol, good job i only have to do 2 evenings and the next isn't till thursday but im sure by then ill think i've never been away

Seth had his very first field trip today, he was up extra early getting ready....the gears went out on G's truck on his way home from a range yesterday, so he had to take my SUV to work....that means Maddie and I are bumming it around the house today. I need to finish the last of the Halloween hybrid stuff...clean a little....work on my shopping list for the kids' Halloween party...maybe get a head start on homework during nap time...it's gonna be a boring day...

And now that I have said that just watch...all hell will break loose...

Kelly make sure to take lots of pics I wanna see the end result!!

Working this week, took Thursday off cause Mystaya has a physio therapy appointment and i have allergy testing *fun not lol*. hopefully the 1 day off in the middle of the week will help it go by faster!

Nothing much here. Grocery shopping in a couple hours with Monkey. Need to dig out some of Monkey's other toys that are still bagged up in the garage from the move. Still irritated that the oven is broken with no idea when maintenance will come fix it, so I'll have to make sure to mealplan for oven-less meals this week (at least the stovetop works, right?!)

The GF Expo is this Friday, so I'm looking forward to going to that with a friend and maybe getting some product reviews/new ideas for GF recipes for DH.

Pretty normal week for us. My hubby and I both got a cleaning bug yesterday. He cleaned... wait for this... both of the bathrooms for me yesterday AND vacuumed! I did the basement, laundry, the kitchen and then I even took everything out of our china cabinet and cleaned all the glass! Have any of you heard of Norwex? It's a newer company from Norway that does cleaning supplies and cloths. Their big thing is non-chemical cleaning that are safe to the enviro and their cloths are microfiber with antibacterial properties. Anyway, they have this window cloth that you don't even need windex to use. You use a spray bottle with only water and then use this cloth and it takes everything off and leaves no smudges. It's AMAZING! When I first saw it used, the lady smeared vaseline on my sliding window and it took every bit off without smudges! I bought one immediately! :) I used it to clean my entire china cabinet and it cleaned as good at the end as in the beginning. I would have used a whole roll of paper towels doign that job and I know I would have had streaks too... that's probaby why I hadn't done it since we moved in, 8 years ago. It was bad! LOL! Okay, infomercial over now. Sheesh!

So, I don't even have to rush home and clean tonight. Love that feeling. (it's rare at our house). I'll be trying to do my Jillian Michaels DVD each night when we get home and we'll have football and soccer two nights this week, otherwise, pretty low key.

I've got a busy day finishing up work from last week. Then normal Beavers/Cubs tonight, football practice, selling Scout popcorn, more football practice, football game, bowling, and Thanksgiving dinner on Monday (we're a month earlier than our American neighbours). Lots more work. So a busy week.

And to top it all off, I've got a throat and double ear infection, a bonus I brought home from Scout family camp (Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts) this weekend. At least we didn't get the snow that was predicted. Brrrrr!

Kelly - sounds fun. What do you use to make the cobwebs?

Karen - I've never heard of these. Are the towels reusable? Do you just wash them in the washing machine? DH uses water with a touch of vinegar and uses old newspapers to do the wiping (the acids from the newsprint actually help clean the mirrors).

My weekend was super busy! Today i'm doing 3 loads of laundry and cleaning the house.

I'm doing a little cleaning today...getting all the blinds dusted in the house. I bought a window cleaning on screamin' deals and it expires early Nov, so I don't want them to see how filthy my blinds are when they come to clean my windows! LOL

I need to go fill propane tanks so we can bbq, get a few more groceries for the week, and then I'm going to scrap tonight while the boys are watching football.

My dh is off the north slope and is in Anchorage now. I'm thinking he'll be home soon if there isn't work in town there. Could be this week...I'll find out today. If so, I'll be in serious cleaning mode this week!

Karen...those cloths sound amazing! I always use a concentrate I add to water (from home depot or lowes) and brush it on my windows with a hand help piece, and then squeegie it off (like professionals use). It does an amazing job, but since I paid for a window cleaning service on screamin' deals, I'll be doing that this month. I have some windows that are very high and very very difficult to get to. They'll take off all my screens too and clean them!

I'd love one of those cloths though for doing the downstairs windows on a more regular basis!

Our weekend was very relaxing, so I'm not at all looking forward to the business of this week. Mostly routine stuff going on, cleaning, school, ballet for DD, etc. But Friday I'm finally going to a doctor to find out why I've been in pain from my back and hips. I've been putting it off because my OB/GYN said that it is normal to have these pains for up to 6 months post baby. DD is almost 9 month. I figured I better get it checked out.

Somewhere in the craziness of the week I hope to scrap. I put myself on a hiatus a few months back and I'm missing scrapping terribly. But every time I go to scrap I'm completely uninspired. :hissy

I'm in Jakarta picking out homeschool materials to use for 1st grade. I've ben here since SATURDAY by myself. OMGOSH, it's been fun. I've hung out with old friends, made new friends, eaten curry and had hours and hours to think and plan (AND SLEEP) all by my lonesome. I'm going home later this afternoon (it's Tuesday here), and I can't wait to see my crazies, but it's been good for my soul to get away!

It seems like everyone is cleaning this week!

Karen - I can't believe Gabi is that old already!! {hugs} that going back to work and leaving the baby day is tough. I'm sure you will both do great.

LeeAndra - my oldest daughter and I are both GF. I have tons of recipes if you are looking for anything particular.

Karen - you can't do an infomercial like that and NOT tell us what you used!! LOL Tell! Tell!

Heather - feel better soon!! Blech. :(

mrspotts - I really hope you get good news from the doctor.

Kellie - that sounds like an amazing few days!! Woot! Jealous about the curry...

As for me, it's a crazy schedule week for the kids and practices, appointments, etc. Manageable...though throwing BYOC on top of it does make me a little :dizzy I have to say that you girls are going to LOVE it. One of my all-time favorite BYOCs!! I am going to take some quiet time to regroup and be crafty while everyone is gone tomorrow. I have a set of altered angel wings I've been working on for a friend that I really need to finish up. I've also had the burlap to make a few wreaths for longer than I care to admit. I want to check that off my list too. I have some very black bananas sitting on my counter and I need to turn those into GF muffins tomorrow. I want to finish up my fall decorating. I printed a bunch of autumn shots of my kids and hung them up. I need to put the final touches on the groups and take a pic to share with everyone. Phew. LOL I need a clone.

Oops! Sorry! Hee hee. Here's the fabulous cloth I was talking about: Norwex Window Cloth. It is amazing. My
Mother in Law is a consultant so I did a party with her just to help her out. I hate cleaning so I wasn't really thrilled with the idea, but this baby made it worth it! :) Let me know if anyone wants one, I'm sure my MIL would love to help you out. :)
