When we moved last month I found a great coupon for a hot yoga studio right by my new house. I jumped on the chance to try it out & I am finding I :beat it SO much! Does anyone else do hot yoga (or any kind of yoga)?

I feel so stretchy now...:giggle

i've always wanted to do it - have a few friends who LOVE it and do it all the time...

Sounds kinda saucy! :) I've never tried yoga of any kind. I am not stretchy at all.

I am not a yoga gal at all. I have been doing p90x and he has a day a week you are supposed to do yoga and I just have no patience for it, but hot yoga does sound "saucy" like Karen said!!! :)

NO WAY!!!! I hate hot anything. I will not sit in a room sweating buckets like that! I would like to do yoga though...I tried it once, but the gal was all into chanting and laughing and making us do all sorts of weird stuff. I lasted one class. I'll try it again somewhere else though!

I've tried hot yoga, aka "Bikram Yoga". It was many years ago but I actually kind of liked it. It's nice b/c you're in a hot room (dry hot) which helps you with the flexibility (at least it did me). You totally have to have a patience for Yoga!

patience for stretchiness is not something i have loads of.
i've never had any desire to try yoga. my max yoga experience is on wii fit. :giggle somehow i doubt that counts.

I love yoga and I like several different styles but Bikram is just not my thing. I know a lot of people that love it though.

Debra--you totally made me laugh with your comment! The place I go to has a bunch of different teachers & I have found that some of them take the whole yoga part of it more seriously than others. I think it is a really good workout so I can ignore a bit of the yoga talk...it really isn't my thing. I love the hot part of it because I feel like I am getting a good workout too. There is one teacher I like who talks about what the poses can benefit, like she will say, "this pose is good if you have headaches".

I'll really have to try it again. I need the stretching...especially as I'm getting older! The hot part I won't do though! A friend of ours did it for months over in Irvine somewhere because he was having to move to Houston for his job. He thought that would prepare him for the heat and humidity there.

It didn't!! LOL!

Nothing like that around here. Boo. But I think I'd totally love it!! There's little I love more than breaking a good sweat! And I'm totally not all stretchy anymore. Just old and stiff!

That's hilarious, Debra!! :lmao I totally agree with not wanting to do anything hot! :)

Having lived in Houston for 20+ years then being here for 1 year I have to say that just going to hot yoga wouldn't be enough! haha. That humidity is something nothing can prepare you for other than time spent being there. And even then it can be miserably sticky.

Amanda, the yoga day of P90X was my favorite! I hated that it was so long but I really think it made a difference for me :)

I've never tried hot yoga, but I'd like to. I'd like to do yoga in general - I need to get some flexibility.
