Catch

I literally said "What is Catch?" in my head before it clicked. I guess that's your answer for you! Lol! Maybe I would have played catch more if I had boys but I didn't so no, catch is not really a thing in this household.

lol I wondered if the thread title "catch" would throw anyone off.

You're the first to mention throwing a football! I like the challenge of trying to throw a perfect spiral.
Yes! I try for that perfect spiral and do ok sometimes lol. 2 sons and a grandson have kept me practicing for years...my daughter enjoyed it, too.

This made me laugh out loud!

I don't like playing catch because I'm just no good at it, and it makes me feel awkward and embarrassed. I do like playing fetch with a dog, but that's different: a dog does not judge.

Whenever I'm asked to play games requiring aiming, throwing and/or catching, I remind people I have other talents. :rofl My hand eye coordination is not great and people are constantly trying to "fix" me when I play these kinds of games. They are surprised that no amount of practicing will actually help me improve. Lol. Sometimes I can roll with and just accept that I stink, but sometimes I get really annoyed at the constant attention and "helpful" comments. I'm like... just let me suck okay? Lol!
In elementary school, I have vivid memories of this one girl who was very good at softball, she would stand behind me and tell me when to swing. Sometimes I got lucky and hit the ball, but I definitely was no good at softball. And yes, I was always in the outfield.

No I don't play catch. Long story short, I have monocular vision so I only ever look out of one eye at a time. This also leaves me with a small discrepancy between what I look at and where it actually is ... which means when a ball or frisbee hurtles towards my face my chances of catching it accurately is slim to none sadly. So I didn't play catch, particularly after the first few smack to the face :giggle
as a side note, it also makes reverse parking challenging. :giggle

Yes it’s nice that dogs don’t judge!

Monocular vision sounds scary! I’m glad you stay safe and don’t play catch.
