Hi everyone! So happy to be here hosting a new Hear My Voice themed Mixed Media Challenge. I hope you’ll join me!
Not familiar with Hear My Voice? It’s a monthly collaboration by Rachel Jefferies and Lynn Grieveson Designs. Every month, they create rich textures and unique digital artistry using a variety of mediums, giving you everything you need to express your thoughts and feelings through art journaling or mixed media scrapbooking. This challenge is a special space for collectors of Hear My Voice Digital Art to dive into their stash, spark creativity, and connect through shared inspiration.

This month, we’re exploring the theme of Soaring. The theme of soaring represents freedom, growth, and reaching new heights. It celebrates moments when we rise above challenges, follow our dreams, and discover what is possible. Through photos and memories, soaring captures the joy of adventure, achievement, and the feeling of being lifted by hope and inspiration. It can also be literal soaring - whether it's a helicopter ride, an airplane flight, a hot air balloon adventure, or a breathtaking view from above, it captures the excitement, wonder, and unique perspective that comes from leaving the ground behind.
This challenge invites you to explore the theme of soaring. You can approach this challenge however you wish using the prompt 'soaring' to inspire you.
If you need a little help here are some ideas:
Use photos, colors, and embellishments that capture feelings of freedom, adventure, achievement, or reaching new heights. Whether it's a special accomplishment, a memorable trip, or a moment that lifted your spirit, let your creativity take flight as you document what it means to soar.

- A moment when you achieved a goal or reached a milestone.
- A graduation, promotion, or retirement.
- Learning a new skill or overcoming a challenge.
- A memorable trip that made you feel free and adventurous.
- A child "spreading their wings" and becoming more independent.
- Use clouds, birds, butterflies, kites, balloons, airplanes, or hot air balloons.
- Create a page that moves upward, with photos and embellishments climbing toward the top.
- Incorporate sky-inspired colors like blues, whites, golds, and soft pinks.
- Add wings, feathers, or uplifting quotes.
- What helps you rise above challenges?
- When did you feel unstoppable?
- What dreams are you chasing?
- What has helped you grow and reach new heights?
- Where would you go if you could soar anywhere?
- Include something that "flies."
- Use at least three cloud elements.
- Add a quote about dreams, freedom, or possibilities.
- Create dimension by layering elements to look like they're floating.
- Use a photo taken from a high viewpoint or featuring the sky.
Challenge Requirements and Prize:
- Create a new scrapbook layout that meets the criteria listed above and ensure your layout is made up of at least 75% of 'Hear My Voice' Products (You may choose to create with backgrounds and elements from one, or a combination of Hear My Voice Products). The other allowable 25% must contain product from either Rachel's or Lynn's shop.
- Upload your layout to the Rachel Jefferies Designs Gallery at TLP or Lynn Grieveson Designs Gallery at TLP and make sure to tag both #racheljefferiesdesigns and #lynngrievesondesigns. Please also list the products used in your credits.
- For your challenge entry to be counted, you MUST upload your finished layout to this thread.
- Please link your thread to your gallery image as it helps us leave love on your layout (and validate your project).
- No double-dipping…your layout must be created for this challenge only, no others. You must create a NEW layout for this challenge.
- This challenge will remain open until July 6, 2026 .
- Don’t hesitate to tag me if you have any questions, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
- One lucky creative will be drawn at random to win our Hear My Voice Collection!!
