Whenever I’m feeling a bit flat or under the weather, my absolute go-to is curling up on the couch and cueing up Gilmore Girls!
I can't quite put my finger on why it’s so incredibly soothing, but it never fails to lift my spirits.

Maybe it’s the cozy vibe of Stars Hollow, which weirdly seems stuck in a perpetual autumn of sweaters, falling leaves, and pumpkins.

Or maybe it’s the comforting routine of the characters heading into Luke’s Diner for their daily caffeine fix—honestly, just watching them order endless coffees makes me want to join them.

Then there is the beautifully complex character of Lorelai! Even with all her adult responsibilities, this coffee-and-junk-food addict refuses to lose her childlike joy, which is something I really wish I could emulate.

Whatever the secret is, the show is just pure comfort food for the soul.

What about you guys? What’s your ultimate comfort show when you need a pick-me-up?

I’ve never watched Gilmore Girls but now I want to!

My go-to is 17 Again.
Wonderful choice Monica! And what is not to love about the outstanding Zac Efron/Matthew Perry duo? Definitely some laugh out loud moments in this one ... I loved Ned's character too and how he would awkwardly flirt with the school principle! :lol:lol

I loved Ned’s character too! lol

Probably The Office or Schitt's Creek when I just need a little levity :)
The Office is a definite favourite here too! I haven't had a chance to watch Schitt's Creek yet ... will add it to my To-Be-Watched list!
Loving the meme's!!

I have never watched The Office or Gilmore Girls. I know! Crazy! When I'm feeling blue and need an escape I will watch one of these to movies. They make me laugh because they are ridiculous.

Oh my goodness Danica, I love your picks! I really liked Bullet Train ... what a weird and bizarre movie but very funny in a Deadpool kind of way! I can't say I have watched Hot Fuzz though! Adding to my will-watch-when-I-get-a-chance list

I have many, including Schitt's Creek and 30 Rock, but Derry Girls has to be at the top!
Oh my goodness Lynette! I LOVE the Derry Girls! Sister (George) Michael is sheer perfection!

Have you watched the new(ish) show How to get to Heaven from Belfast? It's a beauty!
And has a great graffiti cameo of the girls at the end :giggle. 10/10 would recommend!

Oh absolutely Gilmore Girls!!!! My daughter and I watched it together and re-watch it together. She is 26 now, but gave me a Mug that says "You are the Lorelei to my Rory". Quite the complement.

I love me some Gilmore Girls!! I haven't watched it in so long though. Currently I'm watchiing Call the Midwife - season 8. Love that show. Other than that, for me I have dumb reality shows on a lot because they are super easy to watch while I'm on my computer doing other things!

Gilmore Girls is my go to show.
I wish Big Bang Theory was streamed though. I would definitely watch that again.
Might have to do a rerun of 3rd Rock too.
I love Big Bang too! Sometimes it's a toss up between a Gilmore Girls re-watch or some Big Bang!
My go to series for mindless chilling out is Big Bang Theory.

It's definitely a funny (and sometimes sad) found family show, you have to love their friendship!

Oh wow your mug sounds wonderful! What a wonderful memory to treasure of the two of you enjoying the show together!
Also The Goldbergs and That 70s show -- they are both like reliving my formative years in the late 70s and 80s; n
Ahhhh That 70s show ... love love LOVE Kitty! She has definitely become more relatable the older I get :giggle

Oh I have only caught a couple of episodes of Call the Midwife. I should add that to my TBW list! No shade for enjoying some reality TV ... sometimes it's just what you need.
I loved How to get to Heaven from Belfast!

You will love Hot Fuzz. It's the same kind of comedy.
OK I'm sold! Adding it to my TBW ... might try to watch it on the weekend! I could do with a laugh!

I attended Catholic school from the ages of 4 to 18. Of course I knew a "Sister Michael," she was basically my tenth-grade social studies teacher! Love Derry Girls!
It's such a good show! I didn't go to Catholic School but I worked at a Catholic hospital for 10 years and I only WISH we had a Sister Michael there!
Fast and Furious (any of them) or My Best Friends Wedding
