Spring Flowers or Showers

We still have lots of snow, so I would welcome either spring showers or flowers. The spring showers usually melt what remains of the snow and then we start to see the green shoots peek out from the ground of the perennials. But that doesn't happen for at least another month here!

Spring flowers, we've had nothing but showers here here the last few weeks. And this week we finally have some sunshine, looking forward to getting my garden clean and tidy and waiting for all those colourful flowers to start blooming.

This is just a local trip in Ohio. We're going to a county about 45 minutes away where we will see that county's historical museum and courthouse built in 1915. We will also stop at Ohio Northern University at the Remington Walk (reproductions of western-themed sculptures) and the Wilson Sporting Goods factory. I'm looking for ward to seeing how footballs are made :) All footballs used in the NFL and NCAA are made there. My mother graduated from ONU so that will be nice as well. And, we get lunch.

My county's historical society does these trips several times a year. This one is a short one. They have others that go to the other side of the state and are pretty much all day trips and more expensive since they have to charter a bus. Our local Y is providing the bus for this trip which is why it is a short trip. They need the bus for school pickups in the afternoon. And, it is an old school bus that they have fixed up so they recommend we bring seat cushions :)
That's a pretty cool program to participate in! I'm a little bit envious!

Oh, I forget people have gardens to clean up after the winter. Sounds like work, and yet, I see my neighbor out there just having the best time! I hope you enjoy it...or at least the results!
