What videos do you watch?

I spent my morning on youtube watching street photography videos and country music videos. I watch mostly photography, health, food and jewelry crafting videos (mostly wire wrapping stuff) but now and again I watch videos for my fave songs of the moment. Right now I am obsessed with Morgan Wallen. Love his music.

I usually only go on Youtube when I'm trying to figure something out - like how to fix my keyboard pairing with my laptop :giggle
I also use it a lot for tutorials for crochet and knitting

I have a permanent earphone in my ear! I have YouTube Premium, so I don't get ads! I listen to trials, from beginning to end. I am a junkie for law! My phone sits on a table, and I listen to YouTube all day around the house. I also listen to True Crime, Police interrogations, and more like that!
We are YouTube junkies, as we don't have a TV in our home. I rarely "watch" the video, unless it is for sewing or crochet learning.
My husband says our house has been remodeled because of YouTube! ha ahha

I don’t really browse YouTube. Like many have said, I’ll generally use if I’m trying to figure something out. Most of my video consumption is just tv streaming.

Like @AnneofAlamo I have YouTube Premium so no ads. At one time I was watching daily lives from a content creator and got sick of the ads interrupting at the wrong time so I hit that button to sign up for Premium. Through that creator I got hooked on some others that are covering the same ongoing saga that started in the fall of 2023. And, IF the trial date for this saga happens on its scheduled date in July, I'll be watching it live. Law & Crime is planning on live streaming it.

Ended up finding a lot of people I enjoy watching. One creator does watch alongs of older trials and that is funny as heck with the commentary. She's currently doing a trial from 1997 or 1998 with Barry Scheck as the defense attorney and his questioning of the medical experts is quite amusing.

Lately, one of the creators has started streaming his play of a game from the start. He streams a couple evenings a week and there is a small, loyal group each stream. I've enjoyed watching him play that game so much that I found another content creator that has done videos of her play of the game. She is from Australia so the accent is quite enjoyable. I'm going through her videos from the beginning (she started 9 months ago) and have about 85 or 90 more videos to watch to catch up to where she is now. Not gonna rush through them tho!

Tell me the trial! I follow this ma Peter- the lawyer you know and he has taught me so much about the legal system. I would love to hear your crime/trail ones

I’m boring and don’t watch anything lol I’d rather listen to books or podcasts.

I also have YouTube Premium (best investment ever, because it comes with YouTube Music). I also watch a lot of true crime and police investigation videos, @AnneofAlamo ! I can't believe people think they are going to get away with murder! The drunk driving body came videos are crazy. I watch whatever niche of health and fitness I'm into at the moment, too. I was HUGE into the carnivore/ketovore/keto space for years (even had my own channel for a year...don't try to find it, it's not there anymore). Right now, I'm fascinated by the GLP-1 community because I'm microdosing through a local med spa and am astounded by how effective it is, so I love hearing everyone's stories. And then, the other community I like to listen in on is the biblical eschatology crowd....fascinating stuff...but then I get where I'm like, "that's enough of that for now." Probably the weirdest ASMR type stuff would be skin care (ie blackhead/pimple extractions) and the guys that do bovine hoof care! Any of my weirdos out there? Oh, gosh, another niche I got into was van life! Sometimes I fantasize about living in a van and just driving all over the U.S. after I retire. And lately there have been some videos about Generation Jones (the forgotten generation between Boomers and GenX, of which I am a part). I would hate to see what my viewing stats are. I mostly LISTEN...in the car while I'm driving, while I'm scrapping, sometimes even when I've got a TV show on the iPad! LOL

Time to go switch to a new video!

This would take so long for me to answer thoroughly because YouTube is my TV and I watch something every day . . . and I'm trying to get off this machine and head to bed. But I'll name a few favorites.

Kinging It -- part travel vlog (including some van life), part home reconstruction, they are just hilarious (and have the most creative fun-to-watch sponsor reads)

Joe Scott -- science communicator

Tasting History with Max Miller -- On today's episode he made a dish inspired by what they probably ate in third class on early 19th Century ships

Derek Sarno -- fabulous vegan chef and huge promoter of kindness

Kurzgestat -- science and history and a little current events in the most beautiful animations

It almost hurts to limit my list to 5 but I've been trying to get to bed earlier. Perhaps I'll return to this thread. If I do, I'll search the gallery for the pages I've made about my YouTube-watching and share them here.

My hubby and I listen to one Dwi at lunch and just laugh. Officer Padrta in Washington he is our hero. He is so kind but his sense of humor is the best!!
I love little house and van life too!!
I do listen to sermons from
Pastors in our fellowship and my bestie has a channel I love.

I mostly only look up how to do new things on YouTube, but I love it for that. My sister's family has Google One (I think that's what it's called) and they could have 5 family members, and only have four of them, so they added me. Because of that I think I have YouTube premium too because I don't have ads anymore and I also got YouTube Music with that and I use that ALL the time. It's the best! (also no ads!) :D

Actually, there is a new podcast out that is covering the case. It is called "Love Trapped". It is a part if iHeart media and can be found many places. I listen to it on Amazon Music. 4 of the 10 episodes have been released at this time and there is a possibility of a "season 2" (yes, there is that much information!) A channel on YouTube has a lot of the court videos and other information. Look for SchnitzelNinja.

In a nutshell, this has nothing to do with murder. It all started when a then 33 year old woman accused a former Bachelor from the ABC show of getting her pregnant with twins... by 2 blow jobs. She posted as an anonymous woman on the Bachelor sub on reddit and even went to the Sun to share her story about 4 months after the encounter. Before that she filed a petition for court order of paternity just 3 months into the "pregnancy" seeking child support. And, that is when everything fell apart for her. A whole online community sprang up that hangs out on a reddit sub called "Justice for Clayton" and what has surfaced about this woman is unbelievable. There was a trial in June 2024 (can be found on YouTube) in which the judge ruled that she was never pregnant therefore Clayton was not the father. She was ordered to pay around $150,000 in lawyer fees which have not been paid. The judge also referred her to the Maricopa County Attorney for possible criminal charges. In May of 2025 she was indicted on 7 felony counts which included perjury. In November 2025, she was indicted on an additional 7 felony charges against a 2nd victim. The woman has been doing this same playbook for over 10 years on various men. There are 3 men (including Clayton) that have come out publicly since they have been involved in court cases both in Arizona and California. There are several others that want to remain anonymous since there were no court cases in their case.

She has also gone through quite a few lawyers over the years with at least 8 or 9 just for the Clayton case. The last lawyer is a nutcase as well and due to his actions on her case, he is facing disbarment by the Arizona State Bar.

This is a wild, entertaining and sometimes frustrating rabbit hole to explore.

I use it to fix stuff! My dryer has an entire slate of error codes which I can find on YouTube. The grandkids will show them to me on occasion but otherwise I don’t utilize them.

I rarely use Youtube but when I do it is to figure out how to do stuff with Excel or Powerpoint for work. I occasionally will look up how to fix something. I prefer to watch TV or streaming services.

We have YouTube premium and watch it all the time. Love not having the commercials. We watch a lot of history and nature shows. Hubby watches a lot of car stuff. Not necessarily how to fix cars, just things about cars we will never have. There is a cooking show we watch where the host cooks things from different time periods. It’s called Tasting History, That’s actually quite interesting. Usually we just let the logarithm pick what we watch next. We follow way too many people.
