Hello ! Welcome to the March Art Journal Muse Challenge ! I'm very excited to host my first challenge here.

I would love to celebrate the month of March by layering your favourite black silhouette over a vintage paper collage background, evoking renewal, or early spring vibes like budding nature.

Here are a few examples that inspired me to take on this challenge :

For our challenge this month:
1. Create a collage background paper, we need to see the different layers of paper. Pre-made collage papers are not allowed.
2. Place a large black silhouette (person or animal) on your collage. It's okay to desaturate an element to make it black.

Gaelle! I went over all the challenges yesterday, real quick. I like to ponder them for a bit and then begin creating! This challenge woke me at 4:47am! I usually am up at 5am, but I awoke knowing what I wanted to do! Thank you, what a fantastic beginning to a long time as a POLLY and inspiring others to create from their heart! I had a blast!

beautiful, except you forgot to link to the gallery.

this is what happens when you search your stash for "paperpiece" (credits in gallery). I did use Joyce Paul's sketched characters from the Between the Lines collection, I added a layer on top of it and painted in with just a black brush -- I let some of the bottom sketched lines remain visible. It was an experiment.

Thank you ladies for all your beautiful pages.

This challenge is closed, I will come back very soon with the name of the winner.
