Help with Signature

I sized my signature file to 600 x 300 pixels per forum instructions. Yet when I uploaded it to the gallery it was sized at 757 x 300 pixels. I don't understand why the size changed and how to avoid that happening. Also, the post that explains how to create, link, and update signatures is confusing.

So did it distort your signature? Since the one dimension changed and not the other, I would expect the proportions to be off and it to look off

My only guess on the size thing is that maybe with whatever method you are using to save, it might be somehow picking up on pixels that are outside the bounds of your image. When I run into something like that, I do Select All, Copy Merged, create new document using the default clipboard size it suggests (which should be your 600x300), Paste into the new document, and then Save.

The create/link/update signatures post is a bit long. For a basic signature, you can ignore the sections about cutting and linking and scroll down to the part that says "TO ADD YOUR IMAGE & LINKS TO YOUR FORUM SIGNATURE". Since that is an old post, I'm not sure if there are some slight differences with the new forum/gallery, but the gist should be the same.

I didn't save the new signature because of the changed pixel amount. I don't want to mess up because everything is so new here. I'm still getting used to new procedures for posting in the gallery.

When I open your siggie in a new tab in my browser (by right-clicking it) I see that is it actually 686x336
but maybe that's your old one?

I don't think the gallery changes the size of images we post them in, does it?... but usually mine are squares like the layouts so I can't say for sure it is not happening. And I have never loaded a siggie.. I use my server...

Don't give up. Try again. I don't think you will break anything by just loading a new siggie
