Watcha doin’ this weekend?

I've been at a scrap retreat in the North Chicago Metro area since Friday. Today I took time off for a long, long lunch with an old friend from junior high school days. That made me very happy. Tomorrow I'll fit a little more scrapping in before making the three hour drive home.

I cleaned up the house a bit and did some laundry yesterday. Last night, I went to a hockey game with my 2 boys, my DIL, and granddaughter. Today, I need to pick up a few things from the store and visit with my mom for a few minutes before I get ready to watch the Superbowl! Go Birds!

Yesterday I cleaned house…. And worked on tech stuff behind the scenes for TLP. We also watched the new gladiator movie. Today is laundry, grocery shopping and then heading over to The Granthams for Super Bowl Festivities. Goooooooooo Eagles!!!!

Yesterday, we celebrated the twin's first birthday with lunch and cupcakes at dd's. Today, I need to pick up a few things at the store, then make snacks for the Superbowl this afternoon.

Our weekend was spent on our allotment collecting together rubbish left by previous tenants, putting up a polytunnel and tidying. Back again tomorrow to prepare a base for our new greenhouse.

My hubby left for a long weekend ice fishing trip on Thursday through Sunday, so it was just my son and I. I had grand plans of a huge art weekend, but I was fighting a small cold on Friday and Saturday and just couldn't get my mojo going. I want a do over! Lol!

My hubby left for a long weekend ice fishing trip on Thursday through Sunday, so it was just my son and I. I had grand plans of a huge art weekend, but I was fighting a small cold on Friday and Saturday and just couldn't get my mojo going. I want a do over! Lol!

Ice fishing sounds a little too cold and outdoorsy for me but I kinda love that there are rugged people out there who do it. Did you hear about that sturgeon season that lasted like 16 minutes? I kinda just want them to leave the big guys alone.

I had a hard time with mojo this weekend too -- dealing with a little lowgrade winter blues, I think. Hope you are feeling better.

Oh, I love a good greenhouse!! My parents had one back in the day and it was so cool to grow plants when it was cold. Good luck! I need to get out planting a few things here before it gets too hot.

This particular ice fishing trip, they weren't cold. They rented a four person ice shanty with a heater inside. Lol. Ice fishing seems to be just like crafting... there are many products available to make it very fancy, so when my hubby isn't fishing, he's buying "tools" to go along with fishing. Ha ha! I did hear about that sturgeon season. They do it every year and it's so bananas! I think quite often they do throw those sturgeon back because the big honker they caught this year had been tagged in a previous year. But yeah... seems hard on the fish even when they throw them back!

Darn winter blues! Usually the art/crafting makes the gross gray weather outside worth it because I don't feel guilty being inside, but after months of the gray gloom... I'm definitely ready to see the sun! Sounds like it's time for a vacation for you!
