We got new toys, aka tools, this week. I have a new pair of thread scissors with really pretty handles and a case. My husband got an electric whisk for cake making. I've never used a whisk for cake making so this is going to be interesting.

Have you got something new to help you in the house/garden or with your hobbies etc recently? Or are you hoping for something new soon?

So is an electric whisk better than an electric hand mixer for making cakes? (I'm curious so hopefully someone knows.)

Haven't gotten anything recently but hoping soon....

The new fiber internet/cable wires are going up in my neighborhood this week. When the construction is done, if a homeowner chooses to sign up, the internet speed could be speeds up to 1Gbps (Gigabit!). Just imagine how fast downloading or uploading scrapbooking items will be. Sigh....

Bonus is that the fiber wire is encased in metal so squirrels can't chew through the wires which has happened to me a few times over the years!

sounds exciting!

Nope, the only things I've bought so far this summer are headphones for two of my kids and seasonings from Penzeys. I mean to go shopping for new clothes this summer but I'm so lazy about getting around to it. Meh.

Oh! I just remembered a tool I've been considering getting. A food processor. I haven't had one in about 6 or 7 years, since I got a cool Ninja blender and decided it would serve all my food processing needs so I got rid of the little food processor I had at that time. Well, since I've become vegan, I'm doing a lot more processing of food and there are some things a food processor would do better than a blender. Still mulling it over . . . :think

I recently bought a fun new battery powered sander. I had a corded version that I use all the time for my woodworking projects, but the velcro pad on the bottom quit sticking to the sandpaper pieces so they would just fly off randomly. It was super annoying and not useful anymore, so it was time for an upgrade. I LOVE it!

I really need/want a new cordless weedwhacker. Problem is there's nothing wrong with my current one except it's corded. I'm tired of having to drag the cord carrier out of the shed, unroll the cord, plug it in, drag the cord all over the yard, then have to roll it back up and put it away.

I've been spoiled by my cordless lawn mower and leaf blower ... but I just can't justify the expense ... so the edges of my sidewalk are all overgrown and there are grasses/weeds growing out of control along the fence lines that my mower can't reach.

I hope you enjoy your new tools Angela.

I finally bought a battery organizer so our batteries aren’t floating around in random boxes and packages.

There are so many different tools on my wish list, for all kinds of different things!
I'd say the most recent purchase was a little milk frother to use when I make my iced coffee :)
