Has anyone else read books by Becky Chambers? I read her Wayfarers series in 2020 and loved them. She has such a great imagination for creating new species and worlds and writes in a more positive light than much other science fiction.

Today I finished reading her book A Psalm For The Wild-Built. It's about a time a couple thousand years from now, when robots have gained sentience and moved away from humans, out into the wilderness, and a particular human is feeling purposeless and kind of runs away from life, comes upon a robot, and that robot suggests that it's ok if your purpose in life is just to be. I love it.

Here it is on Storygraph (which I use now instead of Goodreads). https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/e630cc5f-0870-41cd-a76c-52a4373fa254

No, but I've now added her to my list. Thanks for the tip.

Why have you switched to Storygraph? I've never heard of it before.

I haven't, but it sounds intriguing. I'm going to look up the other series you mentioned too! Thanks for sharing!

I liked what I saw when someone else shared it with me -- the cleaner, non-commercial look and all those charts and graphs -- and like separating further from Amazon. (I haven't shopped there in years.)
