Today I celebrated Thanksgiving so I’m going to list the foods we ate and you can pick one (or more) you want to say something about.

Turkey
Ham
Shrimp
Broccoli
Carrots
Celery
Olives
Pickles
Mashed potatoes & gravy
Candied yams
Rolls
Cranberry sauce
Stove Top stuffing
Pie (apple, pumpkin, banana, chocolate, coconut, cherry, berry, cookies & cream, key lime, chocolate peanut butter)

Can you tell we like pie? ;) I am stuffed!

carrots - we get though a lot of those, or rather my son does. He probably eats 2-3 medium sized carrots a day for snacking on raw - he loves them.

Cranberry sauce - each year I make a double batch, with only about a third the sugar the recipe calls for. I love it with a bite!
Candied Yams - I make melting sweet potatoes, more of a savory side than sweet. They are the first to get eaten up during our festivities.
This year it was just hubby, dd and myself. I made pot roast & veg for them. I'm vegan so my plate was full of veggies! Of course we had cranberry sauce & melting sweet potatoes too!

That’s a good snack choice. My favorite carrots are fresh from the garden.

Your cranberry sauce and melting sweet potatoes sound delicious! I made cranberry sauce once but I didn’t love it so I haven’t ever made it again.

Cranberry Sauce ... gotta be Ocean Spray jellied, lol!!!

And I love Stove Top stuffing. My mom used to make her own stuffing ... but after she died I bought the Pepperidge Farm packaged stuffing. Then one year Dad bought Stove Top instead of the Pepperidge Farm (he wanted to have T'giving at his house that year). It was too late to run to the store, so I stuffed the Stove Top into the turkey and it was great! I also love being able to have "stuffing" any time I crave it. :)

I'm not the biggest fan of traditional Thanksgiving food, but....
Pie (apple, pumpkin, banana, chocolate, coconut, cherry, berry, cookies & cream, key lime, chocolate peanut butter)
I will have all of these, please :)

Ocean Spray jellied is my favorite too!

I made stuffing from scratch once and I loved the flavor but not how much effort it required.

All I wanted was pie but I was not smart and didn’t leave enough room in my belly to try every kind!

Mashed potatoes are a must for any holiday meal, and I always make my mother's super-special holiday version.

I make a homemade cranberry sauce from scratch, but I also love the Ocean Spray jellied version. It's all good!

My mother used to put out a pickle dish for both Canadian Thanksgiving and Christmas: bread-and-butter pickles, pimento-stuffed green olives, a chow-chow relish, and so on. I don't do that, but maybe I should?...

My sister in law makes the best mashed potatoes ever! I love that you make your mother’s super special holiday version.

When I was little my grandparents would do a pickle dish but I hated it because there were no dill pickles on it! We had pimento-stuffed green olives this year because I wanted them out of my fridge lol

Rolls...I love the rolls the best out of the entire meal. It is so funny that my favorite thing would be the least time consuming item to prepare for the entire meal. LOL

We really don't 'do' Thanksgiving here in Australia but the foods are very similar to our Christmas foods.
HAM - we have just bought a leg of ham which we will eat our way through for the next month;
MASHED POTATO & GRAVY - Oh my! you have picked our eldest granddaughter's (17 yrs old now) staple foods - she would eat these at any and every time of each and every day - and has done for all of her 17 years!!

I’ve found that I’m picky about rolls. I bought some last year and they were a little too sweet for my liking. My little sister made them this year and they were delicious.

My grandmother, great-aunt, and my mom used to put out a "relish" tray ... celery stuffed with pimento cheese, cream cheese or peanut butter, gerkins (those little pickles), pickled watermelon rind (yum!!!) ... my sisters and don't do that anymore ... our kids prefer chips and onion dip, veggie tray, shrimp tray, nut tray, and lots of chocolate candies ... m&m's, Hershey Kisses, etc.

I’m glad you get to enjoy Thanksgiving foods for Christmas. I want more ham already so I’ll definitely be buying some for Christmas.

Mashed potatoes and gravy make me think of my little sister because she builds a big bowl with her potatoes to hold all the gravy. ;)

I’ve never heard of pickled watermelon rind! Was it homemade?

I love my mom's homeade sausage stuffing. YUM.

We had ham this year, along with stuffing, roasted potatoes, corn, rolls, and so much more! The desserts were good - cannoli dip, chocolate cake, pies... but my pumpkin pie I bought had MOLD on it. It was from 2 days prior too! I was so upset!

My free turkey this year will be deep fried by the hubby soon. They are so juicy. Good thing we don't do it often!
