Apples | Pad Patter 10.5.23

Do you like apples? I love apples! I make fried apples with baked sweet potatoes and Air Fryer Pork Chops for dinner often in the autumn. I also love apple pies, apple turnovers, apple crisp, caramel apples and apple pieces in salads.
Have you ever been apple picking? I have not ever been apple picking. I have, however, been strawberry, pumpkin, sunflower, corn and peach picking- I don't think that there are many apple orchards in North Alabama- at least none I have ever heard of. EDITED TO ADD- I just checked and there is one apple orchard about half-an-hour away from me- with 35 varieties. We might need to go check it out!
Do you prefer red apples or green apples? My favorite apples are Granny Smith and I also love Gala, Pink Lady and Honeycrisp apples. I do not like Red Delicious- they are mushy and flavorless- (at least the ones in the stores near me are that way.)
 
I love apples... I have never picked any but my favorite are the macintosh apple.. I like to make homemade applesauce with them :)
 
I like apples - they're not my first choice though...
I have picked apples from a friend's tree... does that count?
I like Macintosh, Honey Crisps and a few others...
When I lived in California I loved fall up at Apple Hill! You could find all sorts of glorious treats there! I think some of the farms I preferred are no more unfortunately... One place offered a treat that was like a cheese danish with apples in cinnamon sauce... another made the BEST apple donuts! They made them fresh for every customer... you had to wait a few minutes but it was so worth it!
Right now my go to apple dish is air fried apples (with a touch of cinnamon sugar) - tastes great and makes the house smell like fall!

I love green apple slices dipped in caramel too! I call it the easy way to eat a caramel apple.

I have mixed feelings about apples :D I find them a little tart to just eat on their own (good with PB though) and I also have an issue with the texture of cooked apples. Yes I'm weird. BUT, I love apple flavor so I love apple sauce, apple juice and apple desserts where there aren't huge chunks of cooked apples. Yes, I'm definitely weird. :D

I haven't been apple picking since I was a kid. We went camping with my grandparents and my grandfather was a "character" as they say. He decided that he was going to get a 5 finger discount and hide some extra apples in with the spare tire in the car. It had rained all weekend and on the way down we drove into some water on the road and the car stalled. We needed to get out the jumper cables which were -- guess where? -- in with the spare tire. All the apples escaped and bobbed away in the water rushing by. Definitely a karma crime-doesn't-pay moment. :D

Do you prefer red apples or green apples? Tart green apples with some peanut butter or in an apple pie!
 
Do you like apples? Yes but I'm pretty choosy about the kinds I'll eat. My faves are Honeycrisp and Cripps Pink! Oh and Gallerina which I've only had once from an orchard and can't find again! :(
Have you ever been apple picking? Yup, it was fun and smelled so amazing there!

I just had to hop back in here to say, my hubby's work schedule got changed this weekend so we ended up going apple picking yesterday! It was a perfect day to go! Although, you do not want to take him apple picking if you want nice pictures :nope Believe me, you don't wanna know!! :lmao
