Pickled Foods | Pad Patter May 8

I remember my grandmother making watermelon pickles which were so-so.

Pickled watermelon rind ... I'd forgotten about that. My grandmother and grea-aunt used to include them on their holiday relish tray. I like them, but never think to buy them ... they can be hard to find at the grocery store.
 
Pickles! I hate sweet pickles but love so many things that are pickled! Carrots, green beans, beets, peppers, Kimchi, red onions (made several jars last year ate them all in a month!) sauer kraut (straight from the can or jar) and the like! I used to buy a small jar of baby dills and eat them as a treat on the way home from the grocery store! Most people do this with candies... I binge on pickles!
