Tomato Juice | Pad Patter 05.05.23

What a fun discussion... and I'm glad to find out I'm not alone...

Surprisingly, tomato sauce, tomato soup, tomato juice and a tomato - they all taste different... and, as has been pointed out above, tomato juice is something people like to drink elsewhere, but rarely at home... who'd have guessed...
 
NO tomato juice for me! :td I like ketchup, spaghetti sauce, salsa (especially with tons of cilantro), tomato soup, etc. but do not give me a slice of plain 'ol raw tomato. Yuk!

Oh and I was put on the wall of shame at a local restaurant because I would always order the tomato salad with no tomato!
 
I use tomato juice when making chili - does that count? lol

I always end up with a lot of left over tomato juice that I end up pouring down the drain. During hot summer months, my husband likes the little cans of tomato juice. The vitamins and minerals in the TJ along with drinking lots of water helps keep him from dehydrating.

I totally agree! bon appetite. I wish I'd live nearby, so I would bring some red wine, goat cheese and a baguette. You have a wonderful weekend!

My dad always took one of the small cans of tomato juice in his lunch every day. He was a construction worker (laborer) and worked outside most of the summer. The company always started new projects during the spring/summer/fall months so that the inside work would be done in the cold months. So we always had them in the refrigerator when I was growing up.

So I love tomatoes, most anyways. I don't usually like tomato juice. I also haven't had it in years. But, I'm so curious to try it out on a plane now! :giggle Do they make Bloody Marys? Hahahaha! I've never had one of those, lol!
 
Huh, I never would have considered that being on an airplane would change the tastes of things. That's interesting. As for tomato juice, I know I've had it before, but I never even think to drink it. I think the only time I've had it was when my Mom bought some V8 when I was a kid. Unless you count the time I tried a blood mary drink. :giggle
