Anniversary Celebrations | Pad Patter 02.25.23

We do a lot of road trips or dinners or nights in with movies and me cooking a fancy meal favorite of ours and making something chocolate and oooy gooy to go along with it.. we are pretty low key and simple people on a budget.

You had me at chocolate! Ha! I try to cook fancy meals...key word - try. :rofl

We like trying different B&Bs. Although I've been intrigued by some of the Glamping ads I've seen. Has anyone ever gone glamping?

Don and I need to try B&Bs. Been a little worried...like the pictures won't match the actual house.

Never been glamping, but we sure love cabins!

I am a really good cook.. hence why we are people with more of us to love as Eric tends to like to say... lol
But I love to experiment and play around in the kitchen.. I always had a passion for cooking and wish I had the funds to play around with food more often. Lol

@ArmyGrl Happy Anniversary! Looks like a lovely, serene time to reflect on all the years of marriage.

For our 20th anniversary, we sent the kiddos (who were both at home at that time) to my mom's and MIL's. Our anniversary is in October, so we chose to celebrate during the summer. We had ten glorious days. We stayed here at home and went out to eat, shopping, talking, watching movies . . . it was like the days before we had children! The kiddos DID NOT like that they were gone so long, but we enjoyed it.

This year marks our 30th anniversary. I'd love to go off, but I'm so used to my adjustable bed that it makes traveling difficult. Just being in a plane or in a car is fairly miserable. I may end up having surgery this summer, and that might eat up all our extra $$. Whatever we do, we're simple and try to show our love every single day and not just on anniversaries.

We celebrated our 50th in 2019 with a cruise to Alaska and celebrations with friends and family when we returned. We treated a group of friends and relatives to a trip on the Snoqualmie Falls railway and dinner at the Salish Lodge at the Falls. The following day, our daughters hosted a wonderful anniversary dinner. We wrapped up the festivities by treating the group to a boat trip to Blake Island and a Native American performance and salmon dinner at the Tillicum Village. When we got back to Seattle we took rides on the Great Wheel and Wings Over Seattle. We had to rest up a week to recover!!
Normally, our anniversaries are just the two of us, celebrating with a nice dinner. We were so lucky that the 50th anniversary occurred 6 months before the Pandemic.

50 is a long time! What a way to celebrate! I was stationed at Lewis/McChord...so all those names are familiar to me. Never did the Tillicum Village though. Sounds like an amazing time. Hmm....got my thinking cap on. 'Cause a trip to Washington would be fabulous!

Happy Anniversary! We celebrated 20 last year. We usually are low key, dinner out or something together. Maybe at 25 we will plan a vacation. Too much right now, with college, senior year, and lots of family stuff going on.

That looks so cool! I hope you're having (had) a wonderful weekend together enjoying that cool cabin! Happy anniversary!

My hubby and I have a weird anniversary in that our oldest son was born on our 2nd anniversary, so not it's more about his birthday than our anniversary. :giggle But, we do try to go out to eat or do something fun near that date. A couple of times we've taken an overnight trip to Chicago together. We usually stay in a hotel, do a little shopping and/or sightseeing and eat out and have a few drinks together. We are pretty low key mostly about anniversaries though.
