Grandson fell...and hit his mouth. My dd called me over. He may have a loose baby tooth. He is almost 3. She's all worried about what to do and I told her to wait and that it will fall out eventually. I told to only worry if he is uncomfortable. The first thing he said was "it's me you and Gam"! Then he told me sit down on the floor with him and play legos. Isn't that sweet. I think my dd is still a bit worried about it, but this stuff is normal and it will probably happen again! First time moms have a tough job. When I had my second child, I was much more relaxed and just took it all in stride. I love this job. For once I am the one who understands and knows what to do! I love being so involved (they live just over a block away in my neighborhood on my street) It doesn't get much better than that!

Being a grandma really is the best, isn't it! I'm glad he's ok :)
I am blessed to have mine close by as well, the farthest being about 30 min away. My 4 year old granddaughter called me the other day to "pwank" me. When I answered she said "Nana, is your refrigerator running? You better go catch it".

Thats funny! He likes to go the park in our neighborhood. Only problem it is only open when the library across from it is open. It has limited hours due to budget cuts and isn't open much. Such a shame.

Aww, this is so heartwarming.. and I feel validated when you said first time moms have a tough job. It is! I struggle so much and not having my parents around anymore makes it even tougher emotionally for me. Your DD and grandson are so lucky to have you :heartslub

I am beyond happy for you. Your grandson sounds perfectly wonderful to me. I am thrilled that you will have so many moments to scrap about him too. My best friend has a grandson now. He just turned 2 and is a hoot. His mom is a vegetarian and he told her "You're a plant!" He also somehow made a joke to them about their names being Meghan and Matthew and said you're "Meghew" now. He kept laughing and laughing. How on earth did he figure that one out?
