Today is National Winter Skin Relief Day. I have some major dry winter skin right now and, when I saw that on the calendar, I thought why not ask TLP...y'all are always so helpful!

Do you have a lotion that you swear by?
What about a lip balm?

I feel like I've tried them all and still struggle! Hit me with what you use for dry skin and chapped lips!

My legs have been sooooo itchy this winter! It's the worst! I prefer Cetaphil lotion and blue Chapstick. Hope this helps!

My lips are chapped all the time and I am very dry. The only upside to winter here is that the humidity is still high stays around 70% when it is sunny, so I guess that helps. Of couse everything seems damp. All the rain we get does not help!

We get pretty dry here too! I also have CIU- chronic hives- so I'm a pro at finding good lotions/creams! lol!

My favorite the last year or so is this one- I use it on my face as well as on my body- it goes on sale at blackfriday too so I scored a couple tubs for only $19 instead of $60 at ulta. It is huge tho & would last a normal person a long time:

As far as chapstick- We have some at my work (dental office) that we brand- not sure what the company is taht we get it from- but it's so good. I love that it has a sunscreen in it too- so important to sunscreen lips! ;) ;)

I don't think I've ever tried either! I'll check them out! Thanks!

We are getting a lot of rain this year. Odd because it should be snow lol. But I guess being in dry heat all the time does me no favors!

I will definitely check out that cream!! Thanks!

I use lipsense lip balm and have not had chapped lips in years... For lotion I use cerave with good results

I use Aquaphor lotion and swear by it. It is the only thing that keeps my skin from not breaking out horrbily and also keeps it from not cracking like crazy!

And I use TREAT brand lipbalm. It is JUMBO sized. I mean it looks like you are using a glue stick on your lips! it is huge! and lasts a long time! it comes in tasty flavors! It is expensive but it really works! and it is one of my favorite brands!

I am also a huge fan of burts bees stuff but we have to be careful with their products in our household as Bianca is allergic to Honey and bees. She has mega reactions to items with honey products in them. or beeswax. :( She tends to stay away from items now that shes older and out of the house but I still like to be careful cause I am that mom.

When I started taking meds for my thyroid, my already dry skin become even more itchy and dry and until I found the right meds, I would break out in hives. That's when I tried Gold Bond Eczema cream. I no longer break out in hives, but this is the only body lotion I'll use. It doesn't really have a scent, which I love, and it helps my dry skin quickly. They do have lots of other types that aren't for eczema, but I haven't tried them.

We all have different skin so what works for me might not work so well for you, but here's what I use.

Vaseline on lips before going to sleep. During the day I use O'Keefe's lip balm.

O'Keefe's body and foot creams at bedtime and in the morning after showering I slather on either Eucerin or Aveeno on legs and arms.

We have moved to a semi-arid location so really needed to make sure I used my creams while my body got used to the drier weather but these all got me through it and now don't have to use much to keep my skin hydrated.

FWIW, I tried Gold Bond and Burts Bees and they didn't do much for me. Cetaphil was good (probably as good as Eucerin IMO).

Vaseline Lotion - Fragrance Free for the body. Its a cheaper one but works very well.
Cetaphil Lotion for the face. Only at night.
Chapstick Lip Balm all year round.

I'm a little bougie with my skin, but I love Epionce Renewal Facial Cream for my face, and their Renewal Body Cream for everything else. Beautycounter has a Melting Body Balm that is heavenly too! Lips - I love Image Ormedic Lip Enchancement.

Well, I had a lotion that I really loved, but it's been discontinuted, so I'm about four weeks into trying a new lotion that my friend gave me. It's called Curology, Smooth Sailing. It's stuff you have to order online though, so I'm not sure I will do that, but she bought the lotion/face wash combo and went through the face wash way faster than the lotion and had a ton of extra she gave me. Lol. I probably won't have to decide for a year. My problem is that a lot of lotions are too oily and make me break out, so I was really happy this one didn't do that.

As for lips... I just tried Baby Lips, by Maybelline I think and I really love that stuff right now too. I have one that lightly tinted and then I was happy to find a clear version too.

For dry skin my go to brand is Palmer's
https://uk.palmers.com/

I only ever wear lip balm, or lip gloss as a lipstick always dries out my lips. I love tinted lip balms and Burt Bees tinted lip balms are one of my favourites. Or my go to for when my lips are really dry is vaseline lip therapy rosy lips.
