...I failed to put the carafe into the coffee maker before hitting the start button.

I heard the tell-tale splatter on the counter and instantly realized my mistake. What a mess to clean up! But I am becoming a pro at cleaning up this mess. Ha! This is the second time with NO carafe and twice I did not seed the carafe correctly (and ended up with a similar mess).

This is why I drink coffee in the first place! My brain needs the extra push to wake up.

Let's commiserate and give ourselves a few giggles! What goofy things have you done lately that makes you wonder...

Hah!

After I mop my floors I take off the microfiber mop head and go around and gather all of the towels to put in a load of wash with the main purpose being to wash the mop head. Yesterday I opened the washer after I had ran it and realized I just put in the towels and forgot the mop head :crazy3
 
We have a Keurig but I definitely forget to put a cup under it from time to time! At least coffee isn’t sticky!

I've done that too!!! The machine I have now is a Keurig + drip on one side. We (I) drink so much coffee, I find it is cheaper to buy the drip.
 
I just got a new single serve Keurig and it has one less button to push before the coffee comes out. Eight out of 10 times, I haven't had the mug in place before it starts to run. Thank goodness for the little catch basin! I really need to set it up before I go to bed every night!

Ha! And don't you love it (not) when you accidentally forget something in the washer. Go to wash a new load and look, a little present left behind, all nicely wrinkled.
 
The worst one lately was that I accidentally hit my DH with the car. :-/ He got out and walked behind the car to go in the house, and I took my foot off the brake a little too early and rolled back into him! I could have fractured his leg! It was bad.
 
I’m the opposite of your coffee fiascos. Just 3 minutes ago I went out to get my coffee and had not put the water into the machine YET AGAIN. The pot is just heating on the burner. I have to let the whole operation cool down because I don’t want to add cold water to an overheated pot. :compcoffee:hairpol
 
I've done every imaginable wrong thing with the coffee maker that you can think of. I've put the carafe in wrong, forgotten to put my cup on the other side for a single cup, forgotten to put the water in, forgotten to put on the timer for the morning...ugh. I never learn. I try to do a check every night before bed to make sure I've set it up properly and then, yep, you guessed it, I forget to check.

My life is a serious of "forgets" LOL.

Oops! I did hit my DH's car that was parked behind me in the driveway. He usually parked off to the side but this time he parked behind me and I backed right into the front of his car. He was not happy. :lol
