I’ve been ordering calendars for 2023 so let’s chat about calendars today.

How many calendars do you have in your house?

Do you use a physical calendar?

Do you use an electronic calendar?

Have you ever made a calendar?

How many calendars do you have in your house?
Right now we have six: two in the kitchen, one in the mudroom, and three in bedrooms.

Do you use a physical calendar? Yes I use two. I use a month-to-month wall calendar to see each month at a glance and I use a dry erase calendar to track meals and what we have going on each day.

Do you use an electronic calendar? Yes. I could not function without my phone calendar. It keeps track of all my reminders and appointments.

Have you ever made a calendar? Yes. I make simple calendars for me and my kids through Shutterfly so they know when all the family birthdays are.

Hmmm...we have 0 physical calendars in the house.

I use the calendar on my phone ALL the time. I have to set reminders...mostly because I forget what day it is :rollin I tend to set two reminders for important stuff...one the day prior as a warno...and then anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours before an event (depends on what the event is and if driving is required).

As an Apple user, my calendar is tied to my phone, watch, computer, iPad. So the "reminder" goes off everywhere. Ha! So, yes to an electronic calendar.

I used to use planners all the time, especially when I worked. It could be perceived as disrespectful to be on one's phone...even if the purpose was to schedule something or take notes. So, old school pencil, paper, and planner it was.

I still bullet journal....but in a moleskin with dotted paper. I tend to set weekly goals...but don't really need a paper calendar anymore. Electronic with the reminders is just what I need!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who is dependent on electronic reminders!

How many calendars do you have in your house? one in the kitchen with reminders like change the furnace filters and give the dog his flea meds and one in my art/craft room. Planners are a different story - I currently use 4 every day. Next year I am cutting it down to 3.

Do you use a physical calendar? See above 2 calendars + 4 planners

Do you use an electronic calendar? For sure!!! I only write in my planners for the current week. All the other appointments live in the online calendar. I use and love Cozi as it is a family calendar and free. It also has shopping lists built in which everyone can add items - very helpful in getting things on there. It is available on phones and on the web.

Have you ever made a calendar? Oh so very many, many. My MIL asked me several years in a row to make them for her family. I customized them with pictures I got from them and off of their Facebook accounts. I kept the layouts the same but swapped out photos -- still it was a boat-load of work. I did make her one last year for Christmas. Not really my favorite thing to do.

I’ll have to look into Cozi…I’ve never heard of it before.

I agree that making calendars is not my favorite, mostly because I have to go find all the pictures I want. If everyone would send me their pictures it would be a lot easier!

I use the calendar on my phone. I make a yearly photo calendar page with the entire year reflected on it for my brother every year from a template I have made.. I will on occaision put a month calendar on my pages as I use a calendar script in PS but in general, hubby keeps us straight with appts. in his day runner :)

Do you use a physical calendar? One wall calendar

Do you use an electronic calendar? Google apps

Have you ever made a calendar? few of them, made from templates, some of them for my CT duties.

This! Lisa is my twin soul.

Google Calendar is a good friend of mine. I have zero physical calendars. Partly cause I am indecisive. I swear every dog account I follow on Twitter has their own calendar. How am I supposed to choose?

yes I've made calendars in the past, but not recently.

We have a calendar on the wall in the hallway. It's for family to put appointment and activity dates on so we can schedule around each other okay.

I have one calendar in my house. It is paper and is made to fit in a 3 ring binder. It sits on my desk. I do put some things on a google calendar but find I don't use it much at all.

I tend to write appointments on sticky notes and put them on the refrigerator so they are in my face all the time. Or just put the appointment card on the fridge for the few appointments I have. Boring life here.

No more physical calendars in my house. I do keep one at my desk at work. But personally we've moved to Google calendar. We have our own personal ones and then we have a shared family one for appointments and stuff too.

I love all the notifications I get so I don't forget anything

We don't have any hanging in our house anymore. I kinda miss it a little bit, because sometimes you just need to see a whole month at a time or flip pages to see future months, you know?

I keep everything in my Google calendar now and I do love that. I'd be lost without all of that information at my fingertips and having my hubby's calendar and my kids calendars all in one place is wonderful.

The only place I have a physical calendar anymore is in my office at work. I found a calendar made by one of my new favorite artists for next year and basically demanded my hubby order it for me and give it to me for Christmas. :giggle I can't wait to see her pretty paintings in my office everyday for a whole year. And the paintings are printed very high quality and are perforated, so I can rip them off and frame them at the end of the year. Bonus!

Do you use a physical calendar? Three ... a wall calendar at home, an appointment calendar at the office, and I use an old calendar program (1997) to print out a calendar showing time share weeks for our family beach condo.

Do you use an electronic calendar? Not really, I use the calendar app on my phone to keep track of my beach weeks for when the physical calendar isn't handy

Have you ever made a calendar? Yes, the family beach calendar. My sister does a Shutterfly photo calendar every year and gifts them to family members ... we either provide her with photos, or she gathers them from FB.

Each year I make a Shutterfly calendar to hang in the kitchen. It is really more like a photo album than a calendar since I use the calendar on my iPhone to keep track of our life. I also make @Liz calendar posters for the grandkids that they hang in their bedrooms. I use some funny photos so they look forward to them each Christmas. I also make Liz’s desktop calendars for you daughter’s, again a hit.

How many calendars do you have in your house? I have zero 2022 calendars. However, I haven't thrown away the beautiful Kurzgesagt calendar I bought for last year from one of my favorite science YouTube channels. They have one for this year too, but I don't use wall calendars anymore and am more interested in minimizing nowadays, rather tan accumulating. I think I have a couple of other old calendars tucked away too, just because they were too pretty or sentimental to throw out.

Do you use a physical calendar? nope

Do you use an electronic calendar? yes, exclusively since 2018, aside from a few I bought just for wall decor

Have you ever made a calendar? yes, far too many to count
In the early 1990's, when I was in my early 20's and my family had its first Windows PC and a copy of Broderbund's Print Shop, I started making a lot of calendars. I made them for myself to track my college stuff and I made them as gifts, mostly for my Grandmother. I continued making calendars for her until she died in 2009.

I'm still attracted to calendars. But I refrain from buying them anymore because I don't use them. I use a combination of Apple Calendar and Google Calendar, and they work very well for me.

The only calendars I have are my planners. I have one for home and one for school. I do not do well with digital calendars. No idea why, it's just so much better for me if it's in writing right in front of me. Our school uses Google Calendar and I just never remember to check it.
I have made a few calendars in the past and now you've got me thinking about it again. That might be a great gift idea for my mom.
