Yesterday was National Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds day, I don't know about you but I love every chance to celebrate this kind of national days, especially if chocolate is involved. So for celebrate, my first thought was buy some chocolate bars, but being in a keto diet, it was a little bit difficult, so I decided to prepare my own chocolate bars, searching recipes on the web.
Have you ever made a chocolate bar?
do you have a special recipe, that you would like to share?
that would be interesting for all of us.

I have never made my own candy bars.. but we make chocolate bark every holiday season.. with milk chocolate and nuts or peppermints...and sometimes white chocolate. and I have had a go at making chocolate truffles a time or two also. I am a sucker for sweets sooo... we like our candy and sweet things in our house hold

Now I'm drooling. I love white chocolate, well actually I love sweets too. Truffles sound like a great choice and a fun thing to try, I didn't thought before about them

Never made my own chocolate bars. My mom used to make fudge every so often.

But I will say, I love eating just semi-sweet chocolate chips. :)

Love fudge but I never learned to make it. I too love chocolate chips, actually every month I buy a big pack planning to add them to the cupcakes, cookies, etc., and when I need them to bake, there's nothing because they are my snacks, lol.

The closest I ever got to making chocolate bars was helping Mom make "Buckeyes" when I was a kid. That is peanut butter dipped in chocolate which makes them look like a buckeye nut.

I've been known to eat chips, both chocolate and butterscotch when I make my rice krispie treat that uses them.

That's a great idea, peanut butter covered with chocolate, and looks like a keto option, thanks for the idea.

I’ve never made a chocolate bar, but I do like to melt chocolate chips, add a little mint extract, and dip pretzels in it.

That sounds delicious Monica, I guess like chocolate - mint cookies, I'll give them a try, thanks for sharing the idea my dear.

Oh my goodness... I never even thought about making my own chocolate bars. That would be far too dangerous! I do love chocolate and especially with almonds. yummy!

I've never made a chocolate bar. I make low carb brownies. For Xmas, I make rice krispie squares for my hubs and low carb chocolate cookies for my daughter and I.

Never made my own. Dark chocolate fan here...and candy bars too, honestly. Snickers. Yum. Twix. Yum.

I've recently started experimenting with making hot chocolate from cocoa -- rather than buying the over sugared hot cocoa mix. I don't have the blend just right yet...but close.

Low carb chocolate cookies sounds delicious, I have made some keto cookies with almond flour instead of wheat flour, but never added chocolate, I don't know how I didn't thought before about it, thanks for sharing and inspired me.

Lisa dear, I made my own cocoa mix, adding unsweetened cocoa and stevia with erythritol, sometimes I add a pinch of vanilla powder, really very little, because otherwise destroy the taste, and taste same like some famous trade mark, that use sugar. I found that the secrets is don't add so much cocoa powder, so practically the sugared hot cocoa mix that I used to buy I think includes a 40% of cocoa and 60% of sugar, if you are using stevia with erythritol you must use a 70% of unsweetened cocoa and 30% of erythritol - stevia, otherwise it will be too sweet.

Never made my own but I love milk chocolate the most. I like (certain) dark chocolates, it depends on the % and brand. I don't like white chocolate at all. I love chocolate covered bacon candy bars!

it has never even occurred to me to make my own chocolate bar. Is that a thing people do??
my absolute favorite chocolate bar is dark chocolate with sea salt and almonds. delicious!!
