Is any one else doing it? You can still sign up if you want to join. It started yesterday with doing a collage/mood board.

it’s at her Instagram if you want to join … @lalymille

Here’s my day 1. I am so happy with it!!!!!!

I was literally crying listening to the video and the meditation beforehand.

Thank you!!! Day two was difficult because I really had to fight my inner critic telling me how horrible it was compared to hers. Comparison is a deadly thing. When I took off the tape tho?? I LOVED it!!! They are 5x5 on watercolor paper and you work on all 4 at the same time with the same collage pieces and colors.

Gaaaa. Those are remarkable @Pachimac

I've only watched the first lesson but have not had the opportunity to gather up scrap material. Gives a whole new meaning to "scrap" book!!!

They are amazing Susie!! I love working on separate little pieces like that, such fun, and pulling off that tape is soooo cool! lol!! Love the colours you worked with and the mark making you did! Those little flying birds give all your pieces such a magical feel about them! Love the little pieces of lace and twine you used as well! Simply stunning!! :heartlub and the gold dotted tissue paper is perfect!!! Just wow!! :clappy

When I do mine I end up sticking them into my larger journal, I don't have enough room to display them around my craft room. :) This is the one I did, using a colour we liked but didn't use too much of, I chose purple.

Susie, they were done exactly how Laly did hers in Workshop 2. I have done a couple of her courses and she there was a bonus lesson on one them where she spoke about colour and this was the resulting piece. But, I just selected some materials and put them into bundles like she did in workshop 2. We had to pick one dominant colour (mine was purple) with the rest neutrals. The purple/blue paper pieces were simply from a picture in a magazine of some trees which I tore up into tiny pieces. You have already done a fabulous one above so don't go saying that you can't do it!! :nope You have already shown that you can!! :yup The more you do, the easier it becomes. :)

I guess what I mean is that you and Laly have so much more on your pages. I did collage and a tiny bit of paint. No ink splatters, not pens or pencils, etc. those accoutrements are things I don’t know how to or think to do/

I hear you, but the next time, you can start adding more, and then the next time, add something else....... don't worry, my first takes ended up in the trash, literally!!! :giggle I didn't want to see them again, not even to tear up and use as a background! hahaaa!! :lmao What worked for me at the beginning was just to write out the steps for myself, in my notebook. Literally, step 1, start with a colour scheme like three colours to use, one dominant and two others step 2, scribble some writing on the page in the area I want to start (Laly talks about drawing the line, that is a good idea, it wasn't in the first project that I did above, I just scribbled some text in a little area instead) step 3, tear up my materials into 4 little bundles step 4, use matt medium to stick it all down........ etc etc. I have used the same process now over and over again and I use it for any type of page I am doing, whether its doing the small multiple pieces, doing a single page in my journal or a double page......... as I progress I change things up a bit so that now I don't actually have to read my process steps so much BUT I always refer back to them for the 'finishing touches' like adding splatters? do some scribbles? etc. each piece will be different. So keep playing and work out some sort of system that works for you. :heartlub

But now you've given yourself a reminder to do these things.

Paint splatters are often done with a tooth brush. Dip the the bristles into paint...run your finger along the bristles...instant paint spray mess! You can probably also imagine how if you load up a brush with lots of paint, you can let it drip all over the page. Mixed media art involves a lot of experimentation and randomness.
