That's not Poutine AKA mislabeled.

Oh, no! Definitely not. I love cheese grits the best. My mom makes Nassau grits, which have a tomato base with onions, bell peppers and sausage that's awesome. I love shrimp and grits, too, and will get those if I'm out and those are usually not a big lump. But regular grits, buttered or cheese grits, restaurants can't seem to make them like we do at home.

Don't kill me what's the difference between polenta and grits?

I heartily agree! If you can see the bottom of the mug then it's not strong enough! I do my coffee with no sugar, so it's got to be good coffee for me to drink it and definitely not weak!

AMEN! We drink it black, no sugar, it has to be GOOD strong coffee! Even Bianca (she is 15 now) drinks it like this! LOL!!!!

Well that just sounds wrong. Send me your address, I'll send you some sauce packets to make real poutine gravy :)

OMG, almost died reading this. LOL!!!!!
Glad I could make you laugh!
After that, every time I’d go to the coffee shop (on campus) to eat, I’d order “a normal hamburger that Minnesotans think is ‘a California Burger.’”

Now I go places and anything “Californian” has avocado on it. Like no one else eats avocado?

Yeah, here any California food has avocado.

OMG. I had some poutine off course on the other side of the border with pastrami on top, I thought it was the best thing I have eaten in ages. The line of the place was out the door during WINTER time in CANADA and it was worth it!
Did you go to Smoke's Poutinerie? That sounds like one of their creations!

Wait! There's poutine gravy packets?

Yes Ma'am! Mix with water and cook.
