The Day After... | Pad Patter 12.26

I like to get rid of Christmas as soon as possible, but DH is catholic and it has to stay up until the Epiphany. We went to see our grandson again today and played with his toys. Took a walk with the kids with DGS in his electric car- a green Lamborgini! The my son in law hit me with the car and I got a big bruise. The kids cooked tonight for us- hibachi on their outdoor stove top. DH and I did stuff around the house and I am watching Christmas movies which of couse i have already seen!
My grandson wanted a Lamborghini this year as well, but got a hoverboard instead lol. He wanted me to get him the green one and his sister the pink one.
Sounds like a really lovely day!!

Goodness, it was such a hangover type day for me, although there was no drinking on my part! Christmas Eve started with lunch at my mom's at noon, and then snacks and desserts at my dad's at 5 pm. Christmas morning was brunch at our house at 9:30, and then we went to my MIL's at 5. All the talking and interaction wore me out! So today I took a break from the computer and everything else (daily chores, cooking, laundry, etc.) and watched TV, read, slept, and did a bit of cross stitching. Now I'm getting ready to head to bed soon and have big plans for tomorrow, getting this house in order. We won't take down decorations until after the New Year.

we had a quiet day at home. Or rather most of us did - the teenage girls slept the morning away.

I woke up on Christmas Eve with a nasty cold- so I've been a bit slower than usual with this stupid cold (I've done the home covid tests & have been negative thankfully!) We did spend the night at the lake house, so now we're back home and I have the usual chores to do- clean house & laundry. We don't take down decor until 1/1 since my hubby's birthday is 12/31 and we usually celebrate him! If I wasn't sick, I probably would have gone out today for some shopping- I only have one return from christmas I need to do so that's good. I have a feeling it's going to be a pretty lazy day...
Ha! you and I are on the same wave; annual cold/ui hit me Tues. 21st which was the day we drove to airport to get DD, and was also our son's BD. Hubster's BD is 30th, so this is NOT the week to be under the weather, but whatcha gonna do?! I even paced myself and deleted projects and extra activity so not to wear down my system, but I must have caught it while shopping or from the sniffy grandkids. Hope you are doing better today!!

Weird weather everywhere!! I can't remember a December where we didn't have snow like this year. We are really unseasonably warm for the next week. Glad you had such a lovely relaxing day!!
We were at 75 degrees (F) yesterday!!! Currently 65.

At least this week I have very little on my todo list and am not working- hopefully by next week I'll be back up to 100%! Hope your feeling better too!
