How are y'all feeling today? Anything special going on?
Do you celebrate Boxing Day?
Take down the decorations?
Shopping after Christmas deals?

I usually take the day to get Christmas outta here lol. I just like being able to relax for the next week before I go back to work. But, I haven't done much this morning except clean up a few dishes from yesterday. We didn't really have a whole lot to put away as far as gifts go this year, so that's nice. I'm currently working on backing up my computer and getting everything nice and organized for the new year. I'm not sure what the rest of the day will hold, but probably a nap :) The weather is amazing (in the 60's for the next several days) so we may get out and do something later!

I have nothing to take down since we didn’t decorate. I am off one more day so I am taking it easy. I have not gotten out of bed yet. Am about to get up and eat lunch. We do need to go to the grocery store to get things for dinner tonite, but honestly not wanting to even leave the house.

We got snow late last night so it was fun to wake up to a winter wonderland. We will eat Turkey leftovers and rest after all of yesterday’s festivities.

I attended online church this morning and shed a few tears since they had several of my mom's favorite carols as the music today. I've been thinking about her a lot since I lost her 25 years ago today. After talking so much the last 3 days to various family members, my cough has come back so I decided not to go out in the moist air from all the rain the last 2 days to the cemetery. Instead I am remember both her and dad by working on one last jigsaw puzzle for the season.

Tomorrow I resume scrapping and catch up on DYD and monthly COVID layouts (that I'm behind on).

I don't take mine down until after New Year's. Yesterday was my "day after" so today is just another day. We still have guests - my youngest dd has claimed the couch to watch Lifetime all day. So, I'm "forced to my laptop". Darn!! J/K

I woke up on Christmas Eve with a nasty cold- so I've been a bit slower than usual with this stupid cold (I've done the home covid tests & have been negative thankfully!) We did spend the night at the lake house, so now we're back home and I have the usual chores to do- clean house & laundry. We don't take down decor until 1/1 since my hubby's birthday is 12/31 and we usually celebrate him! If I wasn't sick, I probably would have gone out today for some shopping- I only have one return from christmas I need to do so that's good. I have a feeling it's going to be a pretty lazy day...

We are Catholic and follow the Christmas season by the liturgical season in the church. Even though a lot of people think the 12 days of Christmas is the countdown TO Christmas, but it's not. The 12 Days of Christmas start Christmas day and end in the Epiphany (Jan 6). Lights and tree and all the decorations stay up until the end of the Christmas season, which this year will be Sunday, January 10th.

I am always very sad to take down all the decorations.

Today I am still recovering from what seems to be my annual bout of a cold. Thankfully we were able to have our family Tamalinda on Wednesday and Christmas Day time. Our son put a program together for an online service, doing all the backdrop, staging, lights, recording, filming along with singing in it; so we stayed home ( my cough might trigger someone!) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience !! Jordan and Jess sing lead in it! If you like you can see it- skipping through the speech parts, (except for Jordan's! LOL!!)

My husband and I drove up to the Shenandoah Mountains this morning. Then we discovered this wonderful market/cafe and enjoyed brunch there. If you're ever in the vicinity, visit https://www.offthegridva.com They have vegan and other alternatives, they're solar powered, have EV stations, etc . . .

It's very rare here on the west coast of BC to have snow for Xmas but we got lots this year so today we took the pups out for a snow day at the dog park. What a fun day! Now we're home and binging some shows while snacking on cookies, rice krispies squares and butter tarts. Leftovers for dinner later and then more tv binging. A nice relaxing day.

I like to get rid of Christmas as soon as possible, but DH is catholic and it has to stay up until the Epiphany. We went to see our grandson again today and played with his toys. Took a walk with the kids with DGS in his electric car- a green Lamborgini! The my son in law hit me with the car and I got a big bruise. The kids cooked tonight for us- hibachi on their outdoor stove top. DH and I did stuff around the house and I am watching Christmas movies which of couse i have already seen!

I get it! I didn't want to leave the house today either! I basically went from the bed to the chair to the couch back to the chair lol

Rest day here, but we are really unseasonably warm. I can't remember when we have ever had a December with no snow, it's so weird!! But I'm not complaining lol

Hope you are feeling better!! I love that you worked on the puzzle in their memory!

I always kind of miss the soft glow of the lights when the decorations come down.

That looks amazing!! I love traveling through the Shenandoah Mountains. Chance and I have been talking about taking a trip through there in the spring or summer, I'll have to keep this place in mind!!

Weird weather everywhere!! I can't remember a December where we didn't have snow like this year. We are really unseasonably warm for the next week. Glad you had such a lovely relaxing day!!
