Emojis | Pad Patter 6.13

Did you know that Windows has an emoji thing built in? Just hold down the button with the "window" symbol on it and hit the period key and a little clickable box will pop up to choose emojis from.
Well, how cool is that!! I had no idea :giggle

I don't usually use them, but this one :badputer suits my mood today ... I am attempting to round up all the Word documents on my father's computer and get them in one place so I can put them on his new computer ... I have NO idea how he created such a freaking mess. :circles
Oh man! I get a little anxiety when I have to go on my mother's computer for the same reason :banghead :hairpol

There was a forum that I used to visit that had a poster that put at least 25 to 30 moving emojis in every single post they made and they posted quite often. That is emoji overkill. All they needed to make their point was a couple. And, there was no ability to block the user on the software.

I probably overused them in my past but as I've gotten older and with my vision issues I have become more sensitive to others that may have the same issues and have become more outspoken about these issues. I'm sure there are a lot of people besides me that have these problems that won't "rock the boat". I put an ad blocker on my browser because of obnoxious ads (too much movement in the ad). And if I go to a website that will not let me look at it without the ad blocker, I just don't go back. I'll find another alternative. JMHO.
I am the same with the ad blocker. If I REALLY want to read an article or something, I will sometimes unblock it for the moment and then turn it back on.

He's also an attorney (and my boss), so there are tons of documents scattered all over the hard drive AND on a flashdrive that was suppose to be used for backups.

I think I rounded up and consolidated all the Word documents (on an EHD), now I need to find the other files: music, photos, Timeslips, Quicken, etc. This is his home computer that her brought into the office b/c his office computer bit the dust. I'm been butting heads with him since October 2019 to get a new computer (he's running WIN XP) and he finally bought a new computer. So now we're going to be fighting the "your old software (Office 2003, Quicken 6, etc.) isn't going to run on WIN 10" battle. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Is there one that you use most? :giggle (laughing) or these :heartlub:beat (hearts)
Do you have a favorite or one that just makes you smile when you see it? :fairydance (fairy hopping) :happydance2 (smiley hopping) I love the stick figure smileys.
Is there one that you have wished you'd have a use for, but haven't? :moo (waving cow) I hadn't noticed the cow before!

@littlekiwi -- I'm trying to be more conscious of adding alt text when I can/remember, I hadn't thought about emojis/smileys! Thank you for the reminder to be more thoughtful of that.

Wishing you all the luck in the world!! I can almost feel the frustration hahaha

The fairy one just makes me happy, and the hopping one.
I had forgotten about the cow until I was browsing them this weekend lol

So many.... :beatand :giggle are my favorite cause I know what to type to get them to pop up! :giggle

I really like the Blah Blah one... :blahblah and the Whoop dee doo one :whoopdedoobut rarely use it cause it would pry come across as a bit rude.
I also think the washing machine one :laundrynaughty is funny and makes me laugh.

I do like the ones that give love.... that is more my style and I use them fairly often. :love:luvya

I also tend to use the simple ones cause they are easy to find and click on.... :-):P:eek::cool::mad:

I love them... and gifs too! :P

I am probably an over-user of emojis. I will often spend way longer than I should looking for just the right one. I have probably used almost all of them here at one time or another, but I think my most common are :giggle :lol :) :-)

WHAT!?!?! That's so cool! I did NOT know that. Thanks for the fun tips!

KIM! @KimJ I am SOOOO excited! I was just writing in my Google Docs journal for yesterday and I was able to add emojis. It's kind of ridiculous how happy this makes me. Thank you so much for the fun tip! :circles

Same on iMac. Just hit Control-Command-SpaceBar. I use it so much I forget I have to choose emoticons differently in TLP and sometimes accidentally do it the iMac way.

My favorite TLP emoticon is :love

I also laugh a lot. :lol

I don’t ever use them but I love it when others do!
