It's May 4th and that means it's Star Wars Day!

Are you a star wars fan? We are! We've seen all the movies and visited Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland. I hope they'll open the park up to out of state visitors soon so we can go back again.

Are you doing anything fun for star wars day? We will probably watch one of the shows. I don't know which, but whichever one hubby wants to watch will be fine with me. :agree

unfortunately for me I have never been to Disney, but this was taken at a Disney store in Milan...I'll probably just watch the movies again today!!

I'm a quasi-fan. I enjoyed them but I don't live for them, you know what I mean?

Last Spring when everything was shut down I was doing a lot of crafting, taking a break from scrapping because I have soooo many projects that need to be made. So, I decided that I would watch the ENTIRE Star Wars Saga in order from beginning to end. Everything. All the Legos shows, Clone Wars, the various animated series... Let me tell you that I was overwhelmed by it all, especially during Clone Wars. I started tuning out all of the frequent battle scenes that I missed out on part of the story lines. I believe I stopped watching when I got to Star Wars: Resistance. I just couldn't take any more. lol!

My cousin posted this on his FB page, and if I hadn't have watched Clone Wars I would've never gotten the reference. I think it's hysterical!

We're fans but haven't watched all the animated ones, just the regular star wars movies and shoot offs (Rogue One, Solo, etc) and the Mandalorian. Although, I will say that I'm not really a fan of mandalorian. I kept falling asleep while hubby watched it. :giggle

We're also BIG avengers fans so love that steve roger rogers too!

You have to watch the Lego shows. They are HYSTERICAL. You can find most of them via Disney+, The Lego Channel and YouTube. My favorite one (I can't remember which) is where some of the kids tell Annakin that he's a terrible actor. I about fell over!

Star Wars fan you say??? What do you mean???? :yoda:yesmaster

I think can guess by reading my by-line and checking out my siggie. That and this is how I went to work today (I am a teacher for grade 6) :giggle

We are huge fans of The Mandalorian AND one of my American relatives have been on the team that worked on all the special effects for season 2!!!! :blush :heartlub :heartlub :heartlub

Well, I said it in Carina's thread lol, but I'm not a Star Wars nerd. I've seen the first movie and bits of the others. We've watched Mandalorian S1 and some of S2.

May the fourth be with you all today. :yoda

I love your siggie Carina! @cinna

The lego ones are hilarious! Did you see the Christmas special @QuiltyMom ? I'm impressed you decided to watch it all. I did that with the Marvel movies, but not Star Wars. I want to watch the Clone Wars to understand some of the nuances of the movies.

Yes - and I yawned with boredom!!! lol! It was simply terrible!!! All in all it was countless hours of streaming, especially with the Clone Wars. I think that would be better watching if you take a couple episodes at a time, for there's a gadzillion episodes. It did fill in the gaps that the movies left behind so things did make more sense, like how Darth Maul came to be the way he was. And, of course, it's where you're introduced to Ashoka Tano, who I feel is the best Star Wars character to date.

I didn't know that there was a day for Star Wars.
I've tried to watch the movies but each time I sleep... I'm not a fan of these movies. It's so interessing to see all the fans. Have a nice day all Star Wars fans !

I love Star Wars because I have fond memories of watching it as a kid with my dad. There was a pizza place that had a large projection screen, and we had pizza and watched the movie. I thought it was so cool! It was called Mr. Gatti's and it's actually still a chain, but our local one closed.

We've watched The Mandalorian. I've watched every movie (or at least parts of them LOL) with the exception of the animated ones. I even took a class at university and we talked about Star Wars as a bildungsroman. Of course, we were reading a lot of Joseph Campbell, who influenced George Lucas. Here are a couple of articles if you are interested:

Last night, I actually played with the newest Project Mouse collection, Galaxy, and I was able to scrap a page about my nephew participating in Jedi Training. I'll be posting it soon.

May the Fourth be with you all!

I like Star Wars, but I'm not obsessed or anything. I like the old movies best. We all watched the Mandolorian though and loved that! :agree

I remember hearing about Star Wars day for the first time a bunch of years ago and thinking it was super clever too. :giggle

I can take or leave Star Wars. I've never seen any of the movies in a theater, just on TV. Haven't seen any of the off shoots or Mandolorian either.

My first memory about Star Wars though was in 1977 when the original movie was released. I was taking courses in summer school and living with 2 other girls in an apartment. Very nice girls except they did like the wacky weed. They never smoked it in front of me but I wouldn't have had a problem with it, I just didn't choose to do it myself. They decided to go see the movie and when I asked about it when they got home they replied that it was fantastic... as long as you were high! I couldn't tell you their names but I do think of them whenever I have the movie on in the background. I will say that the Star Wars movies do make good background noise to keep the tinnitus down to a low roar. Sound doesn't need to be really loud either... LOL

Yes, a Star Wars fan here !
I was a single Mum when the Return of the Jedi came to the movies so my sister and I went. I took my baby daughter in her special carry bed thing I had and she slept through the whole movie and did not wake until we got home.

I used to have a soft spot for all good looking blond actors with blue eyes.

I remember, vividly, going to the very first Star Wars movie! It was SO exciting and the kids loved it! I don't think I saw many of the following movies, but when my grandson Asher got all engrossed a few years ago, it renewed my interest.

My house is full of Star Wars fans! And while I like, it I'm not obsessed with it. Out of all my family my one brother-in-law is by far the most obsessed with it and his wife HATES it with a passion sooooo....just to make her mad my other brother-in-law buys him only Star Wars gifts for every holiday. It's crazy how much stuff he has, he could decorate several trees and the whole house SW's theme for Christmas. You should see the steam come from her ears each time!

Not a fan ... I've seen bits and pieces of the movies b/c my son and daughter loved them ... we had a few of the movies on VHS at one time. Star Tours at WDW always makes me motion-sick, lol!

I was in college (late '70s) when the original Star Wars movie came out. When I went home for the summer one of my friends couldn't believe I hadn't seen it yet (he didn't quite understand that I was a starving college student and didn't have the $$ for movies) so he brought me down to Westwood, CA to see it at a theater there. I guess it was THE place to see it in L.A. We waited 4+ hours in line because they didn't pre-sell tickets - we had to wait and purchase the tickets if when we made it in. Some people ahead of us had been waiting 7+ hours. I think I was the only one in the line who hadn't seen the movie yet. Most everyone else had seen it multiple times by then for it had already been out for a year. Back then it wasn't the thing to see a movie more than once, but that movie broke all the molds!
