I am in so much pain. What do you do for toothache? I’m not in our home state so I can’t get an appointment. It seems it’s the gum, maybe some tiny piece of food is stuck even though I haven’t been able to get anything out!

Get some act total mouthwash to keep it clean and possibly some ora-gel. Don’t pick at it. call your dentist’s office. They may have an emergency number and could get you a prescription for an antibiotic so you don’t get an infection.

yeah i would say salt water rinses - and the ora gel or similar to numb the area - that stuff is temporary but it will probably help until you get it looked at. take ibuprofen for the pain/inflammation?
@amien1 is an oral hygienist I believe - I bet she has some good advice.

sorry you are dealing with this Dalis. feel better! :beat

My dentist retired a couple months ago!!!!

Yikes!!! I feel your pain!
I second the salt water rinses and some pain killers.

Oh man! Yes salt water rinses & try not to pick at it too much- sometimes inflammation will just get worse if you keep bugging it. You can always call a 7 day dentist- they may not be who you want to see as a new patient but at least you can get in to see of it's an abcess (& need antibiotics) or not...

What’s a 7 day dentist?

I don't have any advice, but I hope you can get treated and feel better soon, Dalis! :heartlub

I hope you feel better. I have been dealing with tooth pain and got the filling replaced and hope it helps.

Toothache is the worst. Sorry Dalis - hope you can get treated and feel better. :happyhug

I'm so sorry @Dalis. I've been experiencing the same thing ever since I had dental work done. I'm thinking it's because with the new tooth more food can get trapped in there.
So, until I can get to the dentist, I've been flossing like crazy followed by using a water pick to get as much food out as possible. Then rinse with salt water to kill the bad bacteria. It feels so much better, but then starts up again after I've eaten. I hope you get some good suggestions that will help your pain!

Bart hopes you will feel better soon

I'm so sorry Dalis! I hope you're able to get the tooth taken care of soon! My last one that gave me pain had to be pulled.
