I'm not a fan of Tom Brady and was really cheering on the Chiefs....but love him or hate him, I've got to admit that he is a fantastic QB and at 43?...ummm...wow...what a career. Yah for the GenXer, but booo for the CryBrady. LOL

Do you like sports? I'll watch most sports. We tend to watch a lot of Football here (American and European). Mike is from England, so we watch all of the Premier games and more. He also like Tennis and Golf, but bore-fest, IMO. :hummm

I know nothing about sports. Well, I know the rules of baseball, a little about football and tennis (I took a few weeks of tennis lesson when I was around 12), and I've watched a few games. Literally only a few beyond my brother's Little League games. I think I went to two high school football games. I've been to three professional baseball games, one with a friend in high school and the other two just in the last few years because my daughter sang the national anthem before the games. The second game, we didn't even stay for long after the game began. My family is into tabletop games, not sports. :D

I not a fan of Tom Brady at all, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate his talent.

I LOVE sports! We watch pretty much all of them, but mostly football, baseball, and basketball. I really, really miss my kids playing and going to all the games and practices...even as much as I might have complained about all the running around at the time :giggle. My oldest played baseball for 10 years, basketball for 7 years, and football for 1. My daughter played baseball/softball for 3 years, basketball for 2 years, and soccer for 2 years. My youngest played baseball for 4 years, basketball for 4 years, and football for 3 years. Whew, the days when they all ran together lol.

My dad used to watch a lot of golf and yeah...I just can't.

My hubby and I were cheering on the GOAT Brady because he's killing it at 43! I'm fascinated by how strict his daily routine is and how it focuses on mind/body/spirit. I did feel a wee bit bad for Mahomes because he was playing with an injury. I wish it had been more of a close game.

I didn't start watching football until 2012. Well, I watched it with my hubby from time to time, but not watching it on my own. In 2012, hubby went with friends to watch the college football national championship, and I wanted to know how it turned out. I ended up turning on the game and then sitting there for the entire game! After that, I had to watch Alabama football when it was on. I really don't understand all the nuances of the game, but I'm continuing to learn each season.

As far as other sports, I'm really not a huge fan. I did watch boxing for a time, because of Roy Jones, Jr. He's from Pensacola, so there was that, but also I was a legal assistant at the law firm that represented him, so I met him on a number of occasions. Other sports I will watch if hubby is watching.

I grew up watching football. My parents had season tickets to the local high school football games and started taking me when I was about 4 or 5. Then being in band, I was at all the games as I was a part of it during pre-game and halftime. I have cousins that played college football and I went to many of their games. Watching the older one play is why I decided to attend the university I did. I loved the campus. He and I both graduated from there.

My father was a big fan of the Cleveland Browns and all college football so it was always on TV in our house. I watched NFL for many years and had my favorite team as well (Seattle Seahawks... Zorn to Largent in the 70's/80's). But I became disillusioned with the NFL several years ago. I did watch 2 games this year when the Browns made the playoffs. I turned the game on last night and got bored so switched to something else.

I prefer baseball games in person but they are low on my list of sports. Never got into golf even though Mom & Dad both loved watching it on TV (and they both played). I do enjoy college basketball during March Madness and might catch a few games earlier in the season.

As for Brady. Not.A.Fan.Never.Have.Been.Never.Will.Be.

I don't understand the Tom Brady hate - unless it's just that it makes it a bit boring to watch a game because he wins so much. It was like that with F1 Racing when Michael Schumacher was winning every race and championship, and now with Lewis Hamilton, I find myself I'm rooting for Ferrari or anyone who will beat Lewis Hamilton.

Yeah, I don't love Brady either and I was kinda hoping that KC would win. I thought Mahomes was a class act on how he took the loss though. And, sadly Brady was killing it, so they deserved the win. And I also think it's amazing how he took a team like Tampa Bay all the way and especially at his age! That part is very impressive.

My hubby watches a TON of sports, but usually it's for teams he's very invested in and he will scream at the TV if they do poorly. I hate that, so I usually go away and do anything else while he's watching big games. I actually take it as guilt free time to do craft or scrap since he's occupied. :giggle

If I'm going to watch sports, I'd prefer it to be in person... like my own kids' games and matches. :agree

Not a Tom Brady (deflated balls, remember that?) fan and was hoping the Chiefs would beat the Bucs again. He had an exceptional day.

We are a huge sports family. We watch basketball mainly, but have become Seahawks and Mariners
Fans since moving to Seattle. I just finished a 111 page Team Johnston sports book at Shutterfly. I ended up knocking out winter sports and dance from the book because there was not enough room. It was multi-generational, a fun book to make.

I was reading up on the deflated balls thing and apparently, the two equipment men were the ones who did it, and there wasn't any conclusive proof that Tom Brady was in on it. The only thing up in the air was if he knew about it but said nothing.

Most people I talked to just don't like his domination of the sport - it's been 6 years and he's still winning and helping shape winning teams, so he HAS to have the talent.

lol yeah we were rooting for "anyone but brady" but I agree- you gotta give it up to him- he obviously does something right! ;)

We ARE a sports family. We watch football (pro & some college), hockey (pro, college & our local WHL team), basketball (college), Softball (college) and Olympics for sure. We PLAY: Son- Hockey (club), flag football; Daughter- Softball (club & school), volleyball (school); Hubby- Hockey (coaches & 'beer league'!) We even host a hockey player in our house for half the year. Sports are the reason I haven't cut the cable cord! lol!

I know nothing nor do I care about football, especially pro! I DO agree with @gonewiththewind that Brady IS a GOAT!! I recently found out what that meant and he truly IS!

Like I said, I could care less - didn't even know who was playing.

Was that yesterday? :lol2

Okay, just kidding. I knew it was on because I saw the advertisements for it. I'm not a big football watcher. At least pro. I think the games are too long with too much standing around. I did go to most of my high school football teams, and I've watched some college games. I prefer those in person though, not on tv.

My sport of choice is hockey. I'll watch any level. I can't wait until the rink opens to spectators again!
My other sport changes to whatever Munchkin is playing. Right now, that's volleyball. Next is soccer.

I don’t watch any sports. We only watched the halftime show. But I do know who Tom Brady is and am amazed that he is still playing at his age.

I've never been a sports fan. I grew up in a baseball family (watching pro teams and my brother playing Little League), so I understand the game. I just don't care--I was the one sitting in the stands with my book, wishing I was home.

My hubby watches a TON of sports, but usually it's for teams he's very invested in and he will scream at the TV if they do poorly. I hate that, so I usually go away and do anything else while he's watching big games. I actually take it as guilt free time to do craft or scrap since he's occupied. :giggle

This is exactly how things are at my house. DH is a huge sports fan, and he can't watch a game without screaming. His absolute favorite is football, and his favorite team is the Patriots from when we went to college in Boston. I was never a fan, but with every passing year I despise football more!

Latent sports fan... lol!

I'm a football, baseball, soccer, Olympic fan.... but I know a little about most sports - golf, tennis, etc. I don't play sports. I'm a cheerleader or a gambler/organizer. :giggle

Not a Brady fan at all... I really think he should be coaching and sharing his talent that way at this point. Congrats to him this year. I was rooting for KC all the way. And... even worse, since my team isn't in the SB, none of my boxes in SuperBowl pools won! Booo... :giggle My Dad won a total of $6k in one!

I also have started running a simple $5 football pool every week during regular season. It's small, but I enjoy it. I learned teams this way. We've got about 25 people who join in from all over so it's fun and I keep in touch with people that way too. I did take off this year, since I wasn't sure how it would work with Covid. Next year, after seeing this year, I'll start again. I'm learning players by doing fantasy football.

I don't get football, it's barbaric. IMHO. LOL!!!!

Now hockey, OMG, the skill and speed these people have is just simply amazing! We have a new goalie this adorable young black guy at the Blackhawks. Did you know that less than 8% of the NHL players are black? He is fast!!! His name is Malcolm Subban, 27 and both of his brothers also play in the NHL!

Look at that sweet man w/ our jersey! btw. Love this picture of him, Darnell Nurse (Oilers) and Mathew Dumba (Wild).

Because hockey isn’t barbaric!!!! Just kidding - we enjoy hockey and caught an Olympic game in SLC back in the day! But they are always having to stop the game to clean blood off the ice!
I love football - I prefer college but playing fantasy football has made me appreciate NFL more. I’m not a Brady fan, but that guy can play! I did love the crybrady remark though! Hits the mail on the head! But, I keep telling people that the whole deflated ball thing was never Brady’s job nor responsibility. The ref’s touched the balls and they never commented on it. We love Mahomes here since he played at Tech just 60 minutes away. You have to give it to the Tampa Bay defense - they had Mahomes scrambling all over the place. Not Mahomes fault - where was his front line?
Baseball is our favorite though. It was our sons fave and our son-in-laws’ fave. We are trying to go to all the professional ballparks and had three lined up for last year (tickets bought, hotels booked) and then Covid! The Texas Rangers are our faves even if they don’t win.

And that’s as far as it goes. We hate basketball and this is the worst time of year for us. There’s no football or baseball. My husband and I just mope around the house.

I know, my girl plays and she has been roughed around and even a concussion. To me it looks way more impressive to skate that fast and handle that tiny little puck with a stick that run with a ball. LOL!!!

The only hockey I even enjoyed watching (and this definitely tells my age) was the Miracle On Ice in 1980. One of the USA players was playing minor league hockey in Toledo so I knew who he was since I lived in Toledo at the time. So I just had to watch hockey in that Olympics. Well worth it!

I used to watch a lot of the Olympics but these days, I just don't get into it like I used to. I hate that they just jump around to different sports. There are some that I would like to see more of and since I never know when they will be shown, I just don't watch. I just don't want to spend 3 hours watching to see a 5 minute segment on the sport I was interested in. Television production has ruined the Olympics for me.
