We do similar for Brussel Sprouts but we add chopped up bacon and bake it with that too.

I am in need of a Sweet Potato Casserole or dish. I was asked to bring it and I've never made it! EEEEEKkkk!

I love baked whole sweet potatoes, mashed, with butter and maple syrup. Not just for Thanksgiving.

In the interest of sharing an actual recipe, here's a page I made in 2017 of a very yummy salad I've made a few times now.

I love sweet potatoes....just without brown sugar and marshmallows....I usually just roast them

My kids LOVE the traditional green been casserole.

I love cranberry sauce.

And if anyone has a good cornbread dressing recipe I want to make it for my hubby. His grandmother always made it and it was his favorite. She's passed away and I don't have the recipe.

Sweet potato casserole made with butter, cinnamon, baked sweet potatoes, and Splenda and, of course, topped with marshmallows.

Thank you so much!

I thought it was pretty funny at the grocery store yesterday. One of those end-the-aisle displays had all the makings for the most popular sides. So yup, one of these, two of these, oh and I forgot I needed that, and one of those...

Dressing is probably my favorite. I use a wet bread recipe that came from my grandma. My dad claims old hot dog buns are the best, which reminds me, I need to put them out to dry.

Not a side but last year I used a new recipe and it was delicious!

and after dinner

@jk703 I don't make the traditional sweet potato pie that is really sweet and rich. I make mine like this recipe, it's got some sweetness but not overpowered and the apples are a healthy addition.

Here the PIN.

Thank you as well! Off to check it out!

CREAMED CORN (from Allrecipes.com)
  • 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen corn kernels, thawed
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

In a skillet over medium heat, combine the corn, cream, salt, sugar, pepper and butter. Whisk together the milk and flour, and stir into the corn mixture. Cook stirring over medium heat until the mixture is thickened, and corn is cooked through. Remove from heat, and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted. Serve hot.
Delicious, only takes about 15 minutes and you can double the recipe for a bigger crowd. This original recipe serves 8 (unless you really like it like me)!

My all-time favorite is the green bean casserole, topped with crunchy onions!
