I'm looking for some new book suggestions. Please share your latest good reads. :fruit

I love Young Adult fiction, so skip over these if you don't, but anything by Melina Marchetta (I had to get them at the library, she's an Australian author and didn't have much luck at the stores, if you have an e-reader though...)

Here's her books:
Looking for Alibrandi
Saving Francesca
Jellicoe Road <- the best one
Finnikin of the Rock (fantasy)

I've just read: Interview with the Vampire and Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. I'm in the middle of The Vampire Lestat. I think they are all great if you like VAmps like myself!! DH wants to throw all my books in the bin, poor guy! He can't stand my addiction to vampires anymore!! hahahaha

Here are some of my recent reads:
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
The Help by Kathryn Stockett
The Boy in Striped Pajamas by John Boyne
Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas (I read the abridged version )
The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls

on my to read list:
Water for Elephants: Sara Gruen
Sacajewea: Anna Lee Waldo

i just finished reading
the Help (have had it for months and just had time to read it........SO GOOD)
i also read
the Art of Racing in the Rain..........also good.
i've preordered
Mocking Jay......it's the 3rd in the Hunger Games series...comes out the end of this month.
i CAN'T WAIT!

if you haven't read the Hunger Games yet.
then GET TO IT!!!!!!!
they are SOOOOOO GOOD!

I love mystery suspense type books... and then of course got on the twilight bandwagon...

I would highly recommend "The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo"... and the other two books in the series, going to start number #3 here soon.

I belong to www.goodreads.com - you can find a list of goodreads books I've read on my blog:)

I have finally admitted to myself that I like YA fiction Tania. I like easy reading. And Jacque, I've preordered Mockingjay and I cannot wait too!!! So excited for that last book.

Thanks for the suggestions. And keep 'em coming. :)

I too love YA fiction :) I've heard that Jellicoe Road was good, I have it on my goodreads :)

Oh and I'm reading Dreamquake

I have Hunger Games on my nightstand to read next :) It finally came out in paperback :)

Right now, I'm reading The Shack...it's really easy to read, I think I'll finish tonight!

I kind of suprised myself, but I picked up a book I had purchased a long time ago. It was the No. 1 Ladies Detective book, and I ended up buying the whole series. I think I'm on book 6 or so now. It's just light reading and perfect for reading 30 min at bed time. I'm really enjoying them.

I just posted in the other book thread.... I've read 20 books so far this year, but the best one by far is an oldie, but SO good... A Tree Grows In Brooklyn by Betty Smith. Loved that one. I also liked Beautiful Lies and Die For You by Lisa Unger... kind of fast paced mystery type books. I also really liked We Are All Welcome Here by Elizabeth Berg. I really like almost every book I've read by her and I've read about 8 I think.

The Help was amazing!!!! I loved it :) I just started The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and it's excellent so far. This is a great thread..I am writing a few of these down!

I just got an email from my Library that they have The Help on hold for me. I've been waiting two months!! Yay!

I'm reading the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child. I'm onto book 14 ("61 hours") of 14 now and don't want this to be the last book (so far!) LOL!

Right now, I'm reading The Shack...it's really easy to read, I think I'll finish tonight!

I've been stuck in Outlander- why???? idk! i keep getting lost in the fluff....i'm gonna try to finish The Poisonwood Bible this week- I've been hung up in that one too- i think i'm just not focused and fall asleep as soon as i sit down to relax.....! I'm totally inspired though, now!!! I'm gonna get my act together, finish up these books and reward myself with these new titles!!! ty!!
