Welcome to the NBK-Design Advanced Challenge for September.
Your challenge this month is to make a photo mosaic using the Contact Sheet II function in Photoshop. I found this helpful video:

Here are two pages I made as examples:

For both my pages I used This & That by NBK-Design

Here is some more inspiration by the amazing NBK-Design creative team:
by @katell, using Roadtrip

by @dotcomkari

by @Ana_Santos

by @mcurtt, using Space night

by @TrishD; she actually used some of her scrapbook pages instead of photos!

by Ferdy, also with her scrapbook pages

Instructions:
- Follow the technique in the video and make a photo mosaic of at least 49 photos; then use it as a pattern overlay on a photo, as described in the video, and use it in your layout. You can either blend it in the background (like in my first example), or not.
- You don't have to use a photo of a face for your subject; any photo that is well lit will do.
- Extra tip: choose photos of the same size and orientation; a lot easier than resizing!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask and tag me @cinderella.

RULES
- This challenge runs from September 1st to September 30th
- TWO lucky scrappers will be randomly chosen to win a $5 coupon to the NBK Design store.
- You must use 100% NBK Design Products.
- Post your layout in the NBK Design Gallery and in this forum, and link your layout to the gallery.

Wow, I just love the look of all the inspiring examples. I only have PSE so will do some research to see if there are similar options or work arounds.

Here is my sample page with a link back to my gallery. I chose photographs of flowers taken over the course of the summer to make my contact sheet and pattern.

wow .. interesting challenge ... I never something like that before! I'll come back later ...

Same here, only have PSE! I know PSE will do a contact sheet from organizer for printing so I may have to print to a pdf and use that to get a similar effect.

Thanks for this awesome Challenge Cindy! It was fun!
I used photo's of my own layouts for the pattern!
I scaled the pattern to get different sizes and clipped the pattern to a leaf and an overlay (border)

Thank you for your beautiful page, @Margje! You're a master at blending and photo editing!

I did lots of research on this but my version of pse 13 doesn't have the ability to create this like in the instructions. I had to create the mosaic manually. I used this photo of my cat because his head was wrapped up in a white blanket so there was lots of room for the mosaic to show through. I ended up with 48 photos for the mosaic and then 1 of George for 49 photos total. . I will continue to try to learn how to do this because I think it's very cool and I know I can do a better job at it.

This is really cool and fun! :agree I love how the mosaic shows through. I'm happy that you enjoyed it and you want to use it again in your pages.
It's true that some of the NBK Advanced challenge are based on features that are only available in PS. I'm glad that you were able to find a way to play along!
And please add your page in the NBK gallery along with credits, in order to qualify for the random draw.
