Best part of being a "newbie"

Do you know about the Wish List feature? You can add as many as you want. I have quite a few things on there and love it when they show up on the SOSN sale!

Sure do! Another...good(?)...thing about being new...EVERYTHING looks like something I HAVE TO HAVE. I should probably start weeding through my wish list already. Ha!

Don't worry: When you're a veteran scrapper everything STILL looks like a must-have. :giggle Glad you're enjoying SOSN, and don't forget that DSD weekend is coming up (Digital Scrapbooking Day). I bet there will be a sale and I know there definitely will be a lot of new must have products!

hahaha....that's what i'm afraid of! i thought i had my organization figured out, but now that i'm accumulating more stuff...not so much, but i'll get there eventually. looking forward to DSD!

Well, one of the best parts about being a newbie? Wednesdays...SOSN sale...EVERYTHING is new to me! Lol! Although, my debit card might not share the same enthusiasm. Ha! Two weeks in a row now I've picked up some great stuff on sale. Woot woot!
Coreen that is awesome.. yes the SOSN Wednesday is an awesome time!! The New release Fridays are great too with their 30% off... If you have not subscribed to designer newsletters, (I linked where you can find them all) you may want to do that now as they usually give additional discounts in their newsletters for subscribers for their new releases. Alot of good things coming up here in the next week like DSD (Digital Scrapping Day) so get ready!! Also come to the chats and slow / speed scraps so you can win coupons for participation. That helps with the debit card issue :)

The first of the month we post the calender in the announcements forum and that gives you times and events for the month and when all the chats are scheduled. This was the one for Sept. So keep your eyes peeled for October as there is going to be LOTS!!!!!

Shopping is never a problem here :) The SOSN on Wednesdays and the new releases on Fridays always ensure a sale is available every week. Plus there are additional promotions and sales scattered throughout the year, like the upcoming DSD event.

So glad to hear how much fun you are having!

I couldn't have said it better myself! I'm sitting her chuckling because there's always something that I "must have"! Welcome to constant temptation, @Coreen ! Every time I look in the gallery, there's something that I "must have". I was working on a layout at 1 AM earlier this week and "needed" a kit that was in my wish list. I went shopping at 1:15 in the morning. I love it!

I almost always have a newsletter subscriber exclusive coupon for my new releases each week that will give you an extra 20% off, so yes, definitely follow Christa's advice and subscribe to the newsletters. I also have an extra template freebie in there for special events like DSD, and I know some of my fellow designers use their newsletters to communicate special sales and freebies as well.

I know you are a pocket scrapper, but I have a free template each month (as does @Scrapping with Liz ) and other designers that have great challenges that you can find in the Challenges forum here: Designer Challenges. That's also a good way to check out designer styles!

Temptation....yep, that's true! There could be way worse ones to have though! Lol

@gonewiththewind
I'm not strictly pocket scrapping. I just thought that might be the easiest way to learn and get started though. I've been reading a lot, watching tutorials online and just playing around to try and get the hang of things. Finally discovered what a brush was. Ha!! I love your templates and have already downloaded a few. ;)

Yay! I hope you enjoy scrapping with them!

Here's a short tutorial for using the templates, just in case you need it:

I have a couple of other videos on that channel. Just click on the channel name and it should show you a listing of them.

Coreen: The Learning pad here at the Lily Pad has some great tutorials to learn how to and there are a lot that are in PSE too ...

Also hope you found the blog hop today :) Lots of fun and great stuff!! Also while you are hopping, check those designers for their freebies. By the way Cheryl @gonewiththewind has some great actions for free on her Blog and here at TLP .. I use them all the time (The paper warp and the save for web) .. :)

It's funny, when I saw all the newsletters in my inbox this morning about the blog hop, the first person I thought about was you @Coreen :giggle
