Same here. We had a snow day Friday and hit 65ish yesterday!

I am listening to the rain pouring down, after the drought last year and being so careful with water it is a wonderful sound. Our water tanks are overflowing and I trust that the dams are filling up. I never really love summer as much as others so the beginning of Winter is fabulous to me.
My DD came home for the weekend and we had an awesome time chilling at home and spending time together. Shame she says Mondays are so tough for her with homesickness. I am thankful for our good relationship too. It sure is one of my blessings.
I downloaded a podcast app on to my phone and now have some of Becky Higgins podcasts to listen too.

Sometimes rain is a wonderful sound! We've had nothing but rain for weeks and weeks. We could use a little drying out!
So glad you were able to spend some time with your DD.
I have not listened to Becky's podcast yet, but it's on my list!

The weather is miserable here at the moment!

It's the little victories that make me happy :)

Seeing Mackenzie point and gesturing to communicate her wants and needs more clearly and those giggles and smiles . .

The laundry pile slowly going down . .

Snickers Bites with a cup of tea or coffee . .

Finding something that was lost for six months!! . .

Hearing Keaton talk . . (he has some struggles which are undiagnosed at the moment and it makes our heart soar hearing him now saying single words - he's nearly 5)
 
Things that are making me happy right now are:
  • My son got to visit on Sunday for a few hours. He brought some of his roommates and friends to watch a show in our theater room. It was so fun meeting his friends and playing mom to them all. I fed them and stocked them all up with lots of food from our food storage room to take back with them.
  • The sun came out yesterday afternoon and it was just the pick me up I needed after a long day of teaching.
  • Today is my day off and my oldest DD is coming home from college this afternoon after her last class. She's coming for a dental cleaning but we're going to do a late lunch and after hopefully squeeze in some mission prep shopping before she has to head back.
  • Like I said earlier it's my day off, so I'm gonna try to get some scrappin in this morning before DD gets here.
  • Last, I got a great night's sleep last night, so I'm ready to hit the road running today and hopefully get it all done!
 
I love happy threads.....right now my happy is....
  • my hubs got thru surgery, feels better and went back to work today
  • we didn't get the 4-6" of snow they predicted last night
  • I'm almost done the newest Janet Evanovich book and it's a fun read
  • morning coffee is so good. I love my 3-4 cups of it throughout the morning
  • I was on the wait list for a photo walk with a local group and got confirmation I am in for next Sat. We're going to an area I've not been to or photographed before.
 
Sometimes I get caught up in all that is 'wrong', so this is just what I need!

I'm getting my nails done tonight.
I'm running a 5 miler with my husband this weekend in St. Louis.
I'm planning a girls trip to Sedona and it's only 2 months away!
My cats are home waiting for me.
I have a unbelievably blessed life <3

Enjoy your 5 miler and what sounds like an awesome girls trip!
I try to remind myself daily that I have a blessed life! Some days it's harder than others, but I do try!
