February 27th - Rachel Jefferies

Rachel is quickly becoming one of my favorite designers as I become more and more in love with the art journaling way of scrapbooking. After MOC, I deleted my wish list and started again and half of it is stuff from Rachel!! I was hoping to be able to take advantage of her sale today but money is a little tight with some things we're going through right now but I plan on spending my MOC money on all RJ stuff!! @Rachel Jefferies , thank you so much for the beautiful freebie kit. It could not have come at a better time. Can't wait to play with it!!
Robyn thank you for this wonderful feedback!! And I'm so very happy that this Kit came at the right time for you, I hope you enjoy using it :)

Oh my... I think I am in trouble... seems I have unconsciously been buying her things for awhile now, found I had several of her kits, and now a whole cart full more of "must haves"... gotta save some money for all the rest that are yet to come!... anyway I had never gone to her store... I am in love!!! Yikes another designer to follow....
Hi Liz, aww thank you for the wonderful feedback and posting in my thread!!

Well I pulled things from the first kit I remember buying and a couple of photos I want to use... Did that before spending way too long in her store... and one of the images will have to be extracted, or some such thing... Yeah... I never make things easy on myself... Will time my construction process when I get back to it... Other things I need to do now...
look forward to seeing it :D

Rachel Jefferies is another "stumbled upon" designer that is now my go to for artsy layouts. I am loving all the collections she does with others as well as the M3. If it says her name- I check it out. Her designs are fun and make me happy! Score!
Oh Sharon thank you!! :beat

Wow, the pages here are amazing!!! I need to learn how to do this style, I'm terrible at it! I love Rachel's products! I purchased a couple more of her kits today. I've worked on this one all day, and I'm not pleased with my page, but I did try!!! I just opened the newsletter freebie and it is GORGEOUS! Thank you so much @rachel! I need to totally redo this page.

Hey don't be so hard on yourself! Loving the colour scheme here and that photo is gorgeous! your shadows are great, i like how they are flatter on the paper and ribbon layers and heavier on the flowers, thank you so much for scrapbooking with my goodies on my special day!

Love our Designers Feb 27
My page took me longer than 90 mins. Rachel's designs help to make it easier to construct a page, but I do love to play around, experiment, tweak and forage around my stash....after all that's what it is all about to me.

I had this layout done earlier, then DH said we had to run errands. But it wasn't too bad, he took me to lunch & a movie. :-)

Thank you for the freebie!!!!!

I am one of the fortunate few who happens to be on Rachel's CT. I get to create with her wonderful products all the time. Here is my contribution:

OMG!...Thank You! So Much Rachel For The Gorgeous Freebie!...I'm So In Love With All The Colors Contained Within...It Reminds Me Of The Fresh Colors Of Spring To Come!...I Couldn't Wait To Scrap A Page!...I Used This "Sacred Time For Ourselves" Kit Completely Plus 1 Extra Element From Fa La La La La...This Page Took Me About 90 Minutes To Create Since I Had To Slightly Recolor A Couple Of Things & I Had To Mess With The Shadowing A Bit & A Few Other Things Plus The Blending Of Certain Pieces...

@Rachel Jefferies thank you so much for the cute freebie! It is very much appreciated!
I said it before but I will say it again, I'm so happy you started designing again! I love your products, I see passion and love in your work. I think the time off did you good because you are greater than ever. :heartlub:beat

It's hard to know when to start tracking the time spent on a layout. First I spent some time reading this thread for ideas. Do I count the time spent browsing through my photos trying to decide which (if any) I will scrap? How about the time spent scrolling through my stash? When I finally made up my mind to use this photo and started placing elements on the page, it only took about 15 or 20 minutes more.

I only have a little from Captivated Visions Days, Rachel's part of the It's About Time Bloghop, and today's freebie. I'm just beginning to figure out how to do this more artsy stuff. :)
