According to my calendar of weird holidays, today is Apple Cider Day!

I will definitely be celebrating this one later on this evening because warm apple cider is one of my very favorite cool weather drinks! I just recently saw a recipe for apple cider mimosas that looked so good and is on my need to try list!
Do you enjoy apple cider? Have you ever made your own?
 
ooh I have some left in the frig (it has spiced pumpkin added to it.. I will warm it in the micro and enjoy today)!!

I loved putting the cider in my small crockpot and then putting the mulled spice in it and heating it up! Never made it myself (apple cider) but have seen it done.. fun holiday drink for sure!
 
I made cider mimosas for our college's homecoming tailgate= SO yummy! Especially with a little dash of cinnamon! I'm thinking for doing them again for Thanksgiving! I even like it with a dash of whiskey or caramel vodka in it too- so warming! ;)

The kids have made cider with my mom's neighbor (who they call Uncle Joe since he's always around at our family events!) Last summer when they were there he had them work the cider press that he has & they made gallons of homemade cider. It was spectacular!
 
I can't stand apple cider, but apple cider donuts are my favorite thing in the world! LOL!!!!!

Yum!! I haven't tried it with spiced pumpkin added to it, but now I need to!

I really want to do them for Thanksgiving, too!! I think they will be a hit!
How cool that they got to help make homemade cider! Great memories!

LOL It's ok...I love tomatoes and tomato juice, but I hate ketchup lol
And now I need an apple cider donut!!
 
We've made mulled cider using already-made cider. Does that count?

Recently I got 72 apple cider K cups. They were on sale on Amazon (I think they were like $5 more than the 36 count!). I love a nice warm drink at night once the weather cools. Last month I asked DH what a hot toddy was, so he looked up recipes and made Martha Stewart's for us to try. They were much better than I thought they'd be but they're pretty rich. I think I'll stick to hot apple cider. :)
 
Love apple cider! I normally just buy some from our local orchard here along with our apple cider donuts haha. Last night we had some wassail so now I want to make that. It was sooo yummy!

It counts as far as I'm concerned. It's more than I've done hahaha. I have purchased the K-cups, too, but never found a deal like that. I need to look more often!! I've been buying the packets and then brewing the hot water from the Keurig because it was cheaper lol. I'm the same...love a warm drink on cold evenings!

Now I seriously need to find some apple cider donuts!! I'm on a mission!! Wassail is super yummy. I'm thinking I need to add that to my "to make over the holidays" list!
 
I like cider but rarely buy a jug of it anymore. The Apple cider mimosa might just spur me on! I did get a bottle of spiced cider at Trader Joe’s a few weeks ago. I’m waiting for a cold winter evening to enjoy it.

Yes!! You NEED the donuts! I am telling you! Ahhh-mazing yummy-ness! I just texted my sister we need to make some wassail on Christmas Eve haha.

I so wish we had a Trader Joe's somewhere close to here!! I always see such yumminess coming from there@
I'm excited to try the mimosa!
 
Love apple cider cold and hot. And we have the apple cider K-cups too for dear son.

But what we really around here is pumpkin eggnog and regular eggnog... I think I need a glass.
