School started again. Not so happy. But!
I get access to the full Adobe suite for free as part of one of my classes!!!!
I feel like this right now.

So, now to figure out what I can play with while still doing classes.....

Anyone else have a little happy thing?
 
DD was a little worried about starting middle school. We're a few weeks in and she's loving it, which is a big happy thing for her and a happy little thing for me cuz I don't have to deal with her bad attitude when she gets home from school. :giggle

And the weather is a tiny bit cooler, so I should be able to paint the morning room soon--a task I've been putting off for 2 months. It has lots of windows and I didn't want to work in there without curtains until the temp was under 80. We're almost there!
 
It's Thursday, which means it's payday. :) I had a great time in Nashville, and we are planning our next GNO. And, today is back to school nights.... I get nervous, but hopeful it will all go well!
 
I woke up to excited texts from my son at college... he made his school's official competitive Overwatch team (e-sports).

And I got notification that my new phone case will be delivered today. I got a new phone on Sunday and didn't get a case because the one I wanted, I had to order. I NEVER carry my phone, ever, without a case so the past few days have felt very strange. I'm so paranoid about dropping it and breaking it that I don't take it out of my purse when I'm out! It will feel so good to have a case again!

  • 10yr old is becoming a true crime buff with me
  • Boys & Girls Club is willing to work with us to get 8yr super ADHD child back into the program
  • I am over that insane stomach bug!
  • My bathtub is fixed & my hallway is clean!
  • I have avocado oil kettle chips!
 
I had my nails done today. Yay.
We're invited out to dinner this evening.
I got out, ran my errands, and got my car back in the garage before the deluge of rain started.
 
Today was payday :) My IRA distribution hit the bank.

And, I made a dinner date for tomorrow night with my cousin. First time since August 21. With the tooth extractions I didn't feel like going out to eat and we usually go out 1 to 2 times a week. So I'm looking forward to that.

I totally get that! Our garage is waiting for organization. But it needs to be cooler.
What color are you painting it? I love that you call it the morning room.

This is a thing? That's cool! And congrats to him! Dh and munchkin play, and I enjoy watching them sometimes.

I honestly don't know what to call this room lol but that's what the builder called it. :) Some people would call it a breakfast room since it's kind of off the kitchen. It actually gets the afternoon sun, so really it should be an "afternoon room." Anyway, I'm painting it Offshore Mist by Behr. It's this color:


And as for your garage...yeah, you definitely have to wait until it's cooler! No need to get heat stroke trying to organize anything, esp. a garage!
