What a sad thing to do.......... :(

@Cherylndesigns
RULES are; 50 % if it is not part of a challenge 25 % if it is part of a challenge . 0 % during MOC[>] It is still doable though, I often use Kates or Lynns kits with Dawns , they complement each other lovely.

So, if it isn't for a challenge, I can post them in the gallery even if I used almost all of Dawn's product on my page? I posted a LO yesterday that wasn't for any challenge, but I used about 90% her stuff on it. :thinking2

Hi Cheryl - @Cherylndesigns

If it isn't for a challenge (Speed Scraps and Slow scraps are included here), your page must be 50% In-Store product.

If it is a for a monthly challenge, it needs to be 75% In-Store Product.

MOC 100% In-Store Product.

Note: Templates count as 15%.

Please always check challenge instructions, and site guidelines here Forum, Gallery and Signature Rules: https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threads/forum-gallery-and-signature-rules.18812/ for all information.

Hope this helps Cheryl :)

love your little rule guy Vivi :)

I totally agree, such a loss, so sad. For the MIS challenge this past Saturday, I intentionally used one of Dawn's gorgeous background papers. My way of keeping her present...

Totally agree Marilyn, using Dawn's products will definitely keep her present and thanks so much for the fabulous explanation Christa on what can and can not be used for our challenges and general scrapping! You rock Christa!!:yourock

@wombat146 Thanks Ona.. Hugs :)

I am thinking a bird here, a cute animal there, a lovely watercolor paper there...

Just like the rest of you, I am not ready to move on...

That said --- all those M3 main kits with her stuff in them you can use. :circles It is just the M3 add-ons and other kits she did that are limited!

Thanks, Christa. I guess I still can't wrap my head around Dawn not being here anymore, so her products don't count toward some of the challenge specifications. :( I'm still so sad (as I know we all are) and can't believe that she's gone. Her designs were such a huge part of my heart and my collection.

Cheryl, you can use some of Dawn's things on your pages. You just need to watch on the percentage of what you use. I understand completely what you are saying as I miss her tremendously as a designer, but also as a friend, and have tons of her lovely creations that I love to use.

What I mean is for example a challenge page you can use 25% of Dawn's things on your page and 75% MUST be stuff currently in the store.

A general page that you make not for any challenge or even a speed or slow scrap, 50% of it you can use some of Dawn's lovely items and the other 50% must be in store product.

Of course come MOC time, no product other than what is in the store is allowed.

We are all in this together Cheryl... Big hugs.. It is 2 months this week and I still am having a hard time. :glomp

I know we're all in this together, Christa. I can feel the sadness here - you who worked personally with Dawn - must really be feeling it. I didn't work directly with her, but it's still such a huge loss. Thanks for helping me work through this. The Lily Pad is the most supportive place I've ever been a part of. Big hugs. :glomp

It is so sad. As I saw the day so of August ticking away it made me so sad knowing her store would be closing soon. :( I'm still leaving all of her beautiful designs in my TLP folder though. I can't bring myself to move them anywhere else.

Agree with all of above... I am thinking I am going to move her things to a Dawn only folder... That way, there will not be so much to sift through when looking for something...and no temptation to get too carried away... Do have a bit of a question... So when we say 25% are we counting each individual item or are we counting all items from 1 kit as 1 item???? Different sites do it different.. I have been told more than once, I do NOT need to list every item if all from a kit... not on this site... Just saying????

I put almost all of Dawn's folders on my external hard drive, so I wouldn't be tempted. I only kept about 5 folders in with my regular documents. :(

I hope I can explain this well!

25% would be based on items. So, you use 4 items, only 1 could be Dawn's. You use 52 items, then 13 could be Dawn's (or other thing that dictates not the 75%). We really don't want to count every item and do math though. :faint2
Crediting: You don't have to list every item if it's the same kit. (like this: https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/2015-mrincredible.351740/) Just the kit name is fine.
If the items are from a different kit, you would need to list those for proper crediting. (like this: https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/2009-stitch-beach-copy.356895/) *TLP Hyperlinks are not required. They do make it easier for anyone looking for the kit, or checking your layout during MOC, but they are not required. Oh, and outside links are not allowed.

Does that answer all your questions?
