When I married my surname changed to one that starts with a Z. I never realised that at school everything is done in alphabetical order, so my girls both always come last. In everything from roll call, to handing out supplies to getting their turn (if they even get their turn). It is so annoying and DH says it was the same in his day. Really? No one clued up in all those years that sometimes it is nice to be first or even somewhere in the beginning of the list?

I hear you, I also went from a B to an S - not quite a Z but still a change. Lovely take on the challenge, great use of Lynn's designs, that pop of orange is wonderful.
This page is so pretty. Lovely technique and fun font for the "Z"! I definitely relate to the journaling, too! I went from a "W" to an "I". I hated being at the end of every list. Haha.
Fabulous page! I love all of your tucked and layered bits and papers. Great take on the challenge and fantastic journaling about something that can be quite a frustration!
I had a "Z" maiden name, so I know how it feels to be at the end of the line! I had some great teachers that would alternate, and start at the end first just to change things up! Great journaling and gorgeous page - I love the bold orange leaves!!
What a pretty layout! Great explanation of the letter Z. My sister went from C to a Z. I'm not sure if her boys ever said anything about being last, but I always felt bad for kids that were close to the end of the alphabet or at the end of it. However, when they each graduated from high school, they were in the last row of graduates, so we were able to see them!
