how funny - i know what the italian one is - BIL just brought it to a party recently and I had it for the first time. We were trying to cut it like a regular cake at first and that did not go well, LOL. I'm still not sure how to go about making slices to share. it was more like a pull apart type of cake? yours looks and sounds so delish! i'll try anything w/chooclate! i love how you used the stitches and little beads in the clusters!

@jenn mccabe panettone is so traditional here in Brazil too, probably because the italian immigrants heritage...but I'm not a big fan of the fruits...so when people invented the chocolate version, I was in love!!!
there are a few ways to cut it, some people simply cut vertical slices and it's served as a dessert with coffee, ice cream or you can eat it for breakfast, IDK...whenever you want it! LOL
but you can first, cut horizontaly in the middle, and you have 2 parts of the panettone. Then you can slice it vertically and you have smaller parts and more people can eat it!
