Day 20: Point and Shoot (Edited the photos from my point and shoot as they quality wasn\'t the best)

It was your choice to step up and be a father figure to my three kids. Most men in your situation would not even think about dating a woman with three young children, two with unique special needs. After all, I am “damaged goods”. Yet you are not like most men, you are special and unique. In just a few days of dating me you opened your heart and told me you loved me for everything I had to offer. You did not meet my children officially into months into our relationship, but you asked a lot of questions about them on a daily basis and had a keen interest in all three of them. When you finally did meet them, you made sure everyone was comfortable. There were no awkward moments, no harsh feelings; just the sense that it was supposed to be. Like we had been a family all along. I was shocked and surprised to find how well all three children interacted with you. Even my son, who has Autism feel in love with you from the moment he met you. You were there for us through some of the roughest times of our lives. You helped us when you did not need to. Spent hours with my children on their homework. You made sure that their holidays and birthdays were celebrated to the max. You treated my children as if they were your own. A when you asked me to marry you, you made sure it was ok with all three children as well. You made sure to tell them that you promise to love and take care of them no matter what and while you are not their “real” father, you love them just the same and will be there for them till the end of time. The children could not have ever imagined a step-father to be as good as you. It is like you came out of a dream. A real hero. We love you so much. Thank you for all you are.
