YIKES! The Big 8

My darling Kman, it is hard to believe you are 8 years old already! How far you have came! You set your sights on a goal and you worked to achieve it. But that should not surprise me, because that is what you have done your whole life. Kman, you were diagnosed with autism years ago, and you have continually shown me that although autism is an integral part of you, it alone does not define you. You will stop at nothing to work with your difference as you call it, to understand it (autism) and how it affects you, and to help others learn the same. You are learning to advocate for yourself, and I am proud of that, too. You make me smile every day and bring pure joy to my heart. I don’t even think you realize how comical you are. You continuously make us laugh with the things you say and do. You are always so full of love, you have wild hair that sticks up in a chicken comb on top of your head , you make no sense when you think you do, and when you eat, you take your time like its the last meal you will ever have. But…… you have the biggest heart I could have ever asked for. You rub my arm when I am laying on the couch and tell me how pretty I am, every single day. You never take a candy without asking for one for your sisters too. You play with my hair and rub my head just to make me feel better. You smile at me as if to say I love you..to my soul. You are so perfect in every way. I would not change one single thing about you. I love you so much my beautiful blue eyed boy! Happy 8th birthday and many more to come! Mommy, sissys and Eric love you monster big!
