I'm so glad there is no photo for this particular moment. It wasn't your first car ride that I remember so clearly. It's our first car ride together... alone. My mom, Gammy, stayed with us the first week after you were born and helped out in many ways, especially when it came to driving. When she left I wanted to get out of the house so you and I ventured off to Walmart. I made sure I had everything. You were dressed, had a clean diaper, your diaper bag was all packed and there was a bottle in case you got hungry. You were in your carseat watching me pack everything up. We drove. When I parked in the parking lot I opened the door to get you out only to realize that I had forgotten to strap you in the actual car seat. I grabbed you and cried... feeling like the worst mother ever! March 2003
