It is not exact but I loved the way Lisa used the masking and then had the transfers on the top and bottom edges. Journaling:
On my morning walk, I heard this knocking... I listened real close and realized somewhere there was a woodpecker, drilling for sap. I got the photo of the tree and the little speck of him poking out. I do not know how they
don’t get a headache with all that hammering they do. For a little guy the Downey Woodpecker sure made a lot of noise!
love the page, I think that sometimes some pages I want to lift to the t, and others, just pick something of the page that is inspiring and built from there, which then turns the page into more than a lift, which happens here...gorgeous shot, brilliant shadows, love how the golden word art/text shines with the photo giving light to the whole page!!!!
This is beautiful! I love how you have the photo going outside the bounds of the frame. And love that branch that you placed on the side of the frame. Gorgeous page and lift! Thanks for playing along with my challenge!
I think what I like best about your layout is you took something rather barren (a tree with no leaves, perhaps in winter time) and made it into something so serene and beautiful. I am a huge fan of browns and blues together too....earth and sky. So peaceful. And I too love how you took the photo out of the frame and masked it. Perfect LO!
@ArmyGrl Lisa, thank you for your lovely comments... this is the neighbors weeping willow and most of it I think is pretty dead, at least this side which is why I think it was echoing re the woodpecker's drilling! I took that photo Friday morning, ,there are green leaves to the left but I masked a lot of that out I get weary in bad storms that this will fall on the owner or nighbors house! Thank you again for your sweet comment!
