What precious photos and lovely page and yes, I am sure that many wives and families were wishing for the days before WW II. Is that you and your dad?

@flowersgal - its my mum and her dad. I treasure these photos as there are none for the war years. Apparently film was impossible to get at the time.

What fantastic photos and fragments of history. Beautifully done! (My family the same, nothing from my mum's middle childhood then starts up again postwar - and birth of her very much younger sister ;-) after her Dad's return)
