Where Was My Travel Mug

Description
I was running late, couldn't find my travel mug, grabbed this soup container, punched a hole in the top and voila, coffee cup. My son made fun of me all day. Mostly because he didn't want to work at cleaning my mom's house after we moved her to assisted living. I am trying to get it ready to sell.
Oh yeah, I used the kit from Rachel Jefferies called Be That Girl.
I am being that girl who gets things done.

I applaud your creativity! Nothing to laugh about here, you are totally getting things done. I love your page, the shadows are amazing. I also love how big that soup container is, that is the right vessel for coffee IMO xx

@Claire Grantham It really did work well, except for not sitting in the cup holder. Thank you.
@designbylime Thank you, yes, it's so very much work and so stressful. I keep finding things. If you saw my mom's house, upstairs was all Mrs. Clean. The basement was chaos. My cousin has been unreal helpful, he's made 5 dump runs for me and is mowing the lawn to keep up appearances. We had an estate sale and they sold the slate walk way. Not in the contract. They replaced most of it, none that really fit. 90% of the neighborhood is torn down for town houses to be built so I went to an empty house and carried slate to my mom's house and replaced it. I found slate that was under a deck, not being used. Every part of my 62 year old body hurts but it looks much better now. I won't tell my mom, she has enough on her mind, like healing.

I loved reading your story above -- more about the trials of getting a home ready to sell lightened up by your creativity with the made-shift coffee mug. It's a task even without the headache of a slate replacement. I went through that years ago with my dad's house -- chaos, confusion, and lots of tears.

You clever gal, Val :) The youth never understand our struggles that are real re our coffee mugs! I love your creativity and solution, proving you get things done :) Love this and I love the large photo along with the cool alpha title... great shadow work and love your whimsy my friend! Well done! Thank you for playing along with the June Inspiration Challenge!

PS thoughts are with you as you go through things and get ready for sale. It is a hard thing to do emotionally, so I am keeping you in my thoughts. Hugs your way!

@flowersgal Thank you so very much. You get it because you've been there, done that. Adulting is tiresome.
@cfile You've made my day day with your "you clever gal, Val." Mostly, I feel underestimated around here but I never quit, so there's that. I was brought up to pull up my boot straps and get things done. I really appreciate your good thoughts for this new stage of life here. My mom will return to assisted living in 3 days, with 24 hour care. $$$. I told her I was going to wrap her in bubble wrap or the snow suit from The Christmas Story. I make her laugh.

Love the travel mug you made, love the title for your page, and loved reading the explanation in your credits! It must be tough with the transitions moving your mom into assisted living and having to get her place ready to sell. Clever job with getting the replacement slate but oh, what must have been hard work. Glad you have helpful people around you so you aren't doing it all by yourself. Anyway, back to the page - love the shadow work, and the title work really sets this apart!
